Only issue would be his wage demands. It was originally reported when he'd left the Japanese club that A-league clubs were saying no to him (and I assume that had to do with him asking too much money).

Yep, and remember WU have extra cap space so basically could outbid and/or pay overs.

There were voices in here suggesting that our injury issue was purely coincidental. Those people should never enter a casino because of what they believe is true they have the worst fking luck

Weve just suffered two more month long injuries. Also an injury to Yeboah but that’s completely normal in his case.

Best we take the Allies approach towards the nazis I think - “not a problem yet, let’s wait for it to get a bit worse first lol”

So that would be Elrich and Georgevski?

Is it worth waiting until January when the season is half over to find a "quality" replacement for Raddy or should we just get someone better than we have now and have them for thew whole season? The points earned (or lost) in games now are worth exactly as much as the points in the second half of the season.

That would be the case if we didn’t have a finals system, the last 2-3 games of the season are worth far more than 3 points when you can win from 6th

Can't do it from 7th though. We're going to spend half the season with 4 visa players and of them Meier is basically starting preseason now and Ziegler hasn't played at all.

I really don't want another season of dropping points while we wait for our squad to be ready, sign players in January, wait for them to be ready, then talk up next year.

Don’t get me wrong I’d rather we get somebody in now, and I’d hope we are looking but also I’d rather us not waste our last visa player in a panic and get a waste of space in (as we often do with our visa players).

In a normal league you need to be top it near top in Jan to have a chance, in our league you just need be around top 6 in jan and can push from there.

the squad we have is good enough for top 6 as it is, and if it isn’t then 1 player ain’t going to fix it enough

I prefer to still place the blame on whoever mentioned he was a soccer player, and not an au pair.

I was looking for jobs in Darwin on Gumtree or somewhere the other and noticed heaps of French au pairs looking for work.  We need Pauline to give a speech in parliament about Australia being flooded with French au pairs and get some of them deported I reckon.

I'd like to see (when Yeboah is fit)

Yeboah and Mo as the wide men. Speed to burn.

Duke in number 10 role behind the ALFG (A lazy F@cking Guy)

I think Duke could play there and when ALFG becomes AMFG could be ace. Even Grozos looked lively, give him a go.

I am sure the club is looking at number 10's it's not to say you are going to find one, in the mean time given Duke or Grozos a run.

On the bright side, Grozos now has until Jan to show what he’s got & gain game experience. Looks promising so far.

His big thing will be right to stay injury free. Hasn’t been a time over the last x years when he hasn’t had a spell due to injury. Something telling me that we won’t see Grozos from the start for a few weeks.

Fine balance, we need someone quick but not so quick that we pick up a dud. My personal preference is that we bring in someone ASAP.

I believe to sign someone outside transfer windows they had to have been a free agent before the window opened.

Doesn’t free agent = no current contract. So if the current contract gets ripped up = free agent right? Just needs to agree to rip up contract with club which would require the club to forgo transfer fee.

Why? I remember him being bossed in midfield too easily. Created next to nothing on the games he played. Which games did he impress to be a perfect attacking centre mid?

Because he offers movement, because at adelaide he played his best football in attack. Hes no CM.

not perfect amc. Perfect in the meantime..

Movement. The term offered to players lacking ability. He can be our Jesse Lingard. Movement. No assists or goals but movement and intelligent play.

Movement is the term used to describe what were lacking.... but ok.

No, still needs to have become a free agent while the window was open for the league you're signing into. Otherwise it could be easily abused to force free "transfers" in the middle of seasons.

A good example is City releasing Fornaroli after the Jan window had closed so he could only sign for Perth for the 19/20 season regardless that he was now a free agent.

The only caveat is that you can get approval from FIFA under special conditions such as not having being paid by the club you left.

It’s the “tidy” players that drive me mad

Kearyn Baccus with his tidy passing backwards and side wards
