I hate how 2GB goes out of its way to defend the security and police every time its a situation with Football. But when it comes to Aussie rules they never bat an eye. That statement "we only evicted the father not the daughters" what a load of crap. Those kids were no older than 10 years old evicting the father means you evict the whole family moron. Kids didn't even know what was going on.

Sad part is nothing will change because nothing ever changes.

anyone here been kicked out the stadium and had a riot squad car follow you to mcdonalds?

Yes, trouble is you have to pay , the Coppers get the food (if that's what one calls it) for free.

I just listened to the 2GB interview and the way they try and spin this beggars belief.  You can listen to the interview below and make up your own minds.

just one more thing as a football fan, the family has gone to the expense and effort of turning up at the ground (school the following day) , to follow their team in a semi.

Their team stuffed their opponents out of sight, a joyus thing to behold for any fan, the kick in the guts is they didn't even get to enjoy that!, poor buggers.

Watching the video..if that was a WSW game it would have been more vocal with such a situation. When we got attention  from the police at Newcastle a total stranger stood further down the row gave me a slap on the back in a 'we got you' kind of way and they took the piss out of the cops lol

It seems to me on occasions they try and pick on easy targets around the periphery of a crowd.

Not that you can stop these idiots or have a reasonable discussion with them once their mind is fixed.

Cops are claiming that he wasn’t trying to get to the disabled toilet but that he was trying to get to a bar. He’s claiming he wasn’t drinking all night.

Somebody is lying.

There were also claims from the "I've read other reports" crowd that he was trying to get a better seat from himself (and not the kids !!)

So in my middle age punk rock rage, I fired off a bunch of emails

- Sydney FC suggest that They send the poor kids a shirt or something, or better still take them to Perth and that they publically support their fans

- WSW in the hope that should sydney choose to call this out that our club would support them. Also given or three years of being at spotless what are they doing to ensure that this sort of treatment does not persist

- forwarded to the FFA

- message to George’s river council (asking for explanation)

- message to a League

so far 1 reply form the council with a link to their statement which essentially is the same as what police said on the ray Hadley show

I’d say I was disappointed but, that would suggest I expected anything more than that

Ive also broke my rule of not arguing with bogans on social media

what’s amazing is there are so many experts on football policing that also posses an ability to be total sure that the guy was in the wrong despite never attending a football game in their life

So, contrary to the claim of denied access to the disabled toilet (which fits the "seating protocols" mentioned), the security/police story is that:

- he was by himself when he forcefully tried to breech the "seating protocol" to access the grandstand area

- no alternative reason given for why he allegedly did that

- they mention full strength beer is available in the grandstand area without making any claim that beer had anything to do with the attempted breech, therefore suggesting people should think that it did

- when the police became involved he continued with the alleged inappropriate behaviour

- therefore he was evicted - but not the children!

Why would anyone try to forcefully breech the "seating protocol" without a belief that the denial of access is unreasonable and unfair - such as the claimed toilet issue?

Based on the video clip of the discussion with the police, there is evidence that he had returned to his seat and was no longer behaving inappropriately. He certainly didn't appear to be intoxicated. Therefore, why evict him?

Why is eviction seen as the answer in any event?

Ahhh. The very cornerstone of modern journalism is character assassination. In order to establish doubt and conjecture you need to level the playing field and remove villians and victims from the equation. Then you can change the narrative to suit.

It wouldn't have mattered if this guy only had a jaywalking fine from 1982. It would be enough to make him a monster.

As somebody put it better than me

“It’s simple really- the ‘reaction’ (a friggin escort that only lacked a military tank) was disproportionate to any of the allegations made about him.”

Could not agree more. Forget his kids for a moment. All has been accused of a 'seating protocol' breach and not following directions of secos. A single person. And he needs 10 man escort. Staggers the imagination.

I’ve got to get off social media I’m getting too wound up

for example guy with a Liverpool FC logo on his Facebook profile and pictures of salah everywhere posts “I believe the police”

Oh......FFS.....we really need a face-palm emoji along with the heart and laughter ones......

Good on you for trying to hold the various parties to account - but, as I'm sure you're aware, social media is the place to mouth off incessantly with little regard for the consequences, facts or reason coz there is effective anonymity....hell - our own club Facebook supporters pages should've taught us all that by now:crazy:
