On the MyFootball website,  Corica says most of the Smurfs transfer business is done. Looks like one injury away from a poor season particularly with ACL commitments.

We said this last season, and the one before, it’s how they get a strong XI under the cap

The ACL is only a big problem in the knock out stages and they don’t make them

Didn't watch.

The Smurfs lost 0-3 with half their first 11 unable to play due illness.

Apparently,  Rhyan Grant had to play centre back so Mbappe burned so m e kid called van der Swag.

Sydney scored an offside goal from a free kick. Just headed across goal from the free kick and the goalkeeper made an error, going through his legs and Le Fondre almost stuffed up what was a simple tap in. Goal was disallowed immediately.

They had 4 out from illnes, It was pretty much their starting team apart from Zullo, ONeil & Wilkinson

psg subbed most of their team at halftime

Abj set pieces where excellent they should have scored from one

hard to read much from the game other than mid they get an injury at CB they are stuffed

Le fondre looked slow against the psg defence

Gonna be an interesting season for the smurfs. Granted it was only one game but Brisbane tore through their defence. I didn’t think they looked overly dangerous at any point either.

Can’t help but feel as though that obsession with being the glamour club is creeping back into their mindset, after Arnie worked so hard to get rid of it.

Once we see the Roar v Mariners FFA Cup then we will be in position to judge the Smurf (lack of) performance or was it Roar being excellent.

The through balls ABJ did to Le Fondre is something to stamp out when we do come up against them.

Just put Schwegler on Treejack.

It would be worth the yellow card to give the Lazy One a touch up to make him gun-shy

I went and had a look on the s*itty smurfs forum last night.

A few of them are not impressed with the ALF's ABJ's and Kosta's performance on Wednesday night. :good:

Grant looks to be out injured for a few weeks (not sure how long) and the status on Ninkovic's injury is still unknown.

Could be a rough start for their season.

Smurfs players NSW NPL1 Premiers Wollongong and won 2-0.

Couldn't score with Treejack and Barbarouses on. 0-0 @ half time. Both subbed off then goals to Ivanovic and Alf.

Remember when we played a 10 man Mariners side and ABJ couldn't even get a goal and assist against the last placed team in the league? Not surprised at all.

Apparently got a bumper crowd, many more than the ffa cup games held across the country

The good people of the Gong couldn’t  resist getting a glimpse of the team for all Sydney, proves that there is no need for a Wollongong team

How this cancer was allowed to fester as long as it has is just extraordinary. The Lowy-Smurf conflict of interest has done a lot of damage to the game and league.

Haha I've been telling people for years Lowy family still part-owned SFC and kept getting told "no he sold them" despite showing them the literal FFA financial documents proving it.

Maybe now they'll finally accept that Lowy and his son both owned shares in SFC throughout their entire time as FFA leadership.
