Taurus
Big game, wouldn't miss it for quids. Just a shame the proposed AL squad trial over on VSP1 tonight, has been canned Western Sydney Wanderers v Northern Tigers, 8:00pm Wednesday 14 August, Valentine Sports Park No. 2 This round kicks off with a Wednesday evening fixture, as Western Sydney Wanderers have rescheduled their game against Northern Tigers due to Young Socceroos call-ups. The Wanderers haven’t beaten Northern Tigers since their inaugural match in March 2016 (three draws and three losses since then). It’s also been tough in recent times for the youngsters in Red & Black, but there are positives. Mark Natta and Rory Jordan did well as second half substitutes last week against Bonnyrigg, while Evan Tsakos scored his first Wanderers goal since joining from Sydney FC. Northern Tigers have a chance to put some pressure on the sides above them – a win sees them move ahead of Blacktown Spartans into sixth place. They’re facing a team that has the third most prolific attack in the division, so big performances are needed from the likes of Jamie Lobb and Nicholas Kalogerou. Up front, former Wanderers Academy player Ollie Wiggin will want to show what he can do. Credit @ EricSubijano Prydzopolis and Edinburgh 2 Link to comment
Taurus
NPL Preview: Wanderers v Northern Tigers Eric SubijanoAug 13, 2019 On Wednesday evening, the Wanderers will take on Northern Tigers at Valentine Sportspark with sights set on three points to move ahead of their opponents on the NPL 2 table. Originally set for this Saturday, the game was rescheduled when Fabian Monge, Jarrod Carluccio, Noah Pagden and Lochlan Constable were selected in the Young Socceroos squad for the AFF Under-18 Championships. Coached by inaugural Football Superstar winner Adam Hett, the Tigers are currently in seventh, three points ahead of the Red & Black. The Northern Suburb outfit are coming off a 1-1 result against Mounties on Saturday and they can call on the services of former Wanderers Academy winger Ollie Wiggin. Following a stint on the sidelines, Rory Jordan could be one to watch for the Wanderers. Jordan signed for the Wanderers in 201 after playing junior football for Marconi and was a member of that year's Championship-winning U20 side. The 19-year-old is able to play in central midfield or on either wing and is also an Australian Schoolboys representative. Central defender Mark Natta is another player who will be keen to impress after recently returning from injury. A former APIA Leichhardt and Sutherland Sharks player, Natta featured regularly for the U18s last season. Still only 16 year's old, Natta is now part of the U20 squad and made his NPL 2 1st Grade debut in March against Macarthur Rams. The last time the Wanderers played the Tigers was in May when Marley Peterson's 85th minute goal secured a 1-1 draw. I’m piecing this together from @Taurus tweets on the subject but sounds like 3 scrappy goal mouth scrambles led to goals & doesn’t help when we do a clear out mid season meaning it takes some time for the next crop to step up Link to comment

Aquilina and Silvera decided to trial with the Sea Bogans and are no longer with the club. Roberts and Tokich did not have their contracts renewed. Plus we have 4 of the NPL2 squad away on Young Socceroos duty. Game should have postponed until their back. Link to comment
