Thats not his salary, thats his transfer value and he is a free agent so we wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee.

It must be relative somewhere along the line though. Wilshere Euro 4.8 million     Dorrans Euro 300 Th.  I can't see Wishere coming here playing for say $ 400, 000 AUS or less, Dorrans yes.

Stalking Dundee forums they seem to miss Dorrans which is a good sign

Wasn't it the same with Meier

I'd say Meier was a lot more well known than Dorrans. Meier was the top scorer in the Bundesliga in 2015 I believe, which is when I first came to know of him.

Meier genuinely was a class player, I think he went on to play one season too long in his career though unfortunately. He clearly wasn't able to achieve enough match fitness to play at a good pace.

The league starts smack bang in the middle of summer ( Dec ) this year. I think for older players such as Meier it was a bit of a shock. We're asking players from cooler climates to come play in a summer comp. Will they make the adjustment and climatise in time. Add in the humidity factor as well. According to the BoM we get our first taste of 40C + temps next week and it's only going to get hotter from here on in.

You never know. Its a roll of the dice. Majewski had a great injury record before he met McGowan :).
Look how that turned out.

Makes me think of the season we could have had with Majewski in the mid and Muller out on the right, want to fly kick McGowan in the head sometimes just thinking about it :xmad: but anywaysss..

We probably wouldn’t have had Muller though he only came as a replacement for Majewski

The Meirer signing was a disaster

From what I understand, Kendall Watson will be our last foreign signing this season (unless Ziegler hasn't given up on citizenship). He is also from the same agent as Robinson. Looks like a decent player.

Furthermore it seems that Ibini is trying to get out of his contract to sign with us.

How can we make another foreign signing? We've already got 5. Muller, Ziegler, Cox, Lopar, Dorrans.

Ziegler would have to get his citizenship before we could make another. Assuming the foreign rules haven't changed.

Also, Robinson is a central defender? Surely we need a proper attacking mid instead of just relying on Grozos or keeping Muller out of position. His team finished last in the entire MLS ladder.

Based on what? Unless Ziegler leaves we don't need another CB anyway. Both full up on foreign players and CBs

I've seen a fair few rumours and been notified by a few sources that he is set to sign. Maybe they're mistaken? Maybe Ziegler has got his citizenship? He could be signing for another A-League club? Another team I heard that he could've been going to is the Jets.

Also, I think we need to strengthen up the backline, Mcgowan and Ziegler partnership is going to be tragic. Hopefully Tass starts over one of them.

I don't see it happening tbh, great if true and we release one of our CBs. Otherwise we have players in that position, not great standard but they're what we have, so we need to get someone for the more pressing spots

I don't see it happening either, just thought it was interesting to hear that he was coming to us even though all our foreign spots are taken.

Maybe Mcgowan and Ziegler will get better under Robinson, unlikely but I hope so.

Well Waston announced today that he'll be leaving FC Cincinnati. :ninja:

My only concern is FC Cincinnati has been really pathetic ever since their introduction into the MLS. They have finish last in their conference and in the overall standings in both seasons that alone isn't a good sign.

However, looking at some highlight videos of Waston while he was playing at the Whitecaps when Robinson was the manager there, it seems like he is one of those players that's willing to throw his body at all risks to get a goal during corner kicks (don't know why, but that kind of stuff reminds me of Spiranovic). If he can do that kind of stuff at the Wanderers, I think he could be a great additive to the club

Unfortunately, I don't see him coming here...unless Zeigler miraculously got his Australian citizenship.

Mutual agreement I hope. Huge upgade on Zeigler.

I don’t know Ziegler citizenship details, but once he is granted the Aus one, he would need to rescind his German one as Germany doesn’t usually allow dual citizenship.
He could apply to keep his German one, but the process is quiet long and his chances are low. I am just speculating that given how long this is all taking, he might be up to the second step.
