I'm sure I read in the last few days that Nicolai Topor Stanley wants to continue playing, but isn't sure whether he will offered a new contract.

I would have him back if that was the case. Age doesn't seem to be as big an obstacle to centre backs as other positions, and when watching him this season he stills covers the ground well.

 

Also another foreign centre back, looks a mean critter from his photo on  Transfermarkt, which would fit in well if we signed Muscat as well.

Plenty of interviews on You Tube, seems to have captaincy experience as well.  Was in Serie A the season before last.

I think it's a great opportunity and a deserved one.

Yes he makes silly errors and gives away a token yellow most games, but he works hard and has been one of our better performers in the many **** years we've had.
