Six players have represented their country while playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers. Listed below are the WSW players who was capped for Australia, their caps, goals and their first and last match.

 

Aaron Mooy - 3 caps, 3 goals (7 December 2012 - 28 July 2013)

Mooy, the great assist-man played his first international match against Guam in a 9-0 win in the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup preliminary round and also scored his first goal on debut in only 14 minutes played. Two days later, he was capped again this time against Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) in an 8-0 win and again scoring a goal. He topped off his international career while at Western Sydney by playing in the proper 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup, and scored their first goal in the match in a 3-4 loss to China. In his first three caps, he had a 100% goal rate per game for Australia while based at the Western Sydney Wanderers.

 

Tomi Juric - 13 caps, 2 goals (20 July 2013 - 16 June 2015)

Juric who has the most international caps for Australia while based at Western Sydney, has shown complete excellence for his country and for Western Sydney. His first of his 13 caps was against South Korea in a 0-0 draw in the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup final tournament in Seoul. He scored his first international goal against Japan in a 2-3 loss to Japan only three minutes after future Western Sydney player Mitchell Duke scored in the 75th minute. He was capped twice further in friendly matches as a substitute against Belgium (0-2 loss) and Saudi Arabia (3-2 win) in 2014. He was selected in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup winning squad for Australia and scored a goal against Oman in the second group stage match to make it 4-0 for Australia. His final cap while based at WSW was a 2018 World Cup Qualifying match against Kyrgyzstan in a 2-1 win as a substitute in the last three minutes.

 

Matthew Spiranovic - 11 caps, 0 goals (5 March 2014 - 16 June 2015)

Spiranovic was the goalscorer in the 2014 A-League Grand Final and played 11 times for his country while playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers. He made a starting appearance in a friendly against Ecuador who had beaten the Socceroos 4-3. He went on to play all three group stage matches 2014 FIFA World Cup, before he was then selected in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup squad, and playing until the Final against South Korea which had the Socceroos win it 2-1 in extra time. His final cap while based at WSW was a 2018 World Cup Qualifying match against Kyrgyzstan in a 2-1 win.

 

Nikolai Topor-Stanley - 1 cap, 0 goals (14 October 2014)

Topor-Stanley who lies second in all-time appearances for Western Sydney Wanderers was capped once in a 0-1 loss against Qatar, only one and a half weeks before he captained Western Sydney in their winning AFC Champions League Final in 2014 against Al-Hilal (1-0 on aggregate).

 

Josh Risdon - 11 caps, 0 goals (5 October 2017 - 6 January 2019)

Risdon, a long-time Perth defender made 11 caps for Australia after signing for the Western Sydney Wanderers in 2017. His first international cap for Western Sydney was a starting appearance against Syria in a 1-1 draw in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying fourth round and against Honduras in a 0-0 draw for the inter-continental play-off for the 2018 World Cup finals. He made three extra starting caps in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (a 0-0 draw against Colombia, 4-0 win against Czech Republic and a 2-1 win against Hungary). He played in all three group stage matches for Australia in 2018 FIFA World Cup Group C. He made further friendly appearances against Kuwait and South Korea as he made his final cap for WSW against Jordan in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup first group stage match.

 

Mitchell Duke - 2 caps, 0 goals (7 June 2019 - 14 November 2019)

After Duke recently signed mid-season in the 2018/19 A-League campaign, he was capped twice while based at Western Sydney in 2019. He first played South Korea in a friendly match which the Socceroos' lost 1-0 and played their final 2023 Asian Cup Qualifying / 2022 World Cup Qualifying match in 2019 as a 70th minute substitute against Jordan where Australia won 1-0.
