The way Spain move the ball around and push us all over, very hard to sit back and soak that up. Needed to be more positive and try and hold some ball, easier said than done I know!

And that's why Spaniards do well in the A-League

We should be level. Long throw, get the ball past Soutarr at the near post but no-one attacks the 6 yard box with the late run in behind. Watts went the wrong way he'd have had a tap-in if he'd bothered to attack where the ball might have dropped.

Oh just saw this.

Figured you'd have had something to say!

Still in a decent position right, it’s is in our own hands going in to the last group game. Worked hard tonight, but just too much quality in the end. Disappointing but tonight isn’t a bad result.

Win your last game, progress, can’t ask for much more from a group that contains Argentina and Spain.

That for sure, certainly better than Team GB (mens). Oh wait, they don't have a team in the Olympics.

Nahhh… old issues from the 1870’s or whatever prevents that’s. They did as a one off in 2012, but officially that was just England and Wales as Scotland and NI refused to participate.

A men’s GB team is a bad idea as there would never be a Scot good enough to make the team.

Yeah, can't say Spain didn't deserve it.

Yes. But a 1-0 loss to Spain at any level by an Australian team is a good result.

Spain showed us more respect than Argentina and it showed.

But until our technical skills are improved, we won't be able to compete with the top European teams.

Cant be arsed looking at the combinations but depending on results a draw against Egypt might be enough right?

That would prob need Spain to beat Argentina…

Going to be a gunfight between Argentina and Spain.

Nah it's there. You need to access it online though at the 7Plus site. It took me yesterday morning to figure it out haha.

Go to 7plus, sign up for an account if you don't have one.

This morning I decided I need to figure this out. Googled for instructions, which I was unsure about, overcame my trepidation and set about trying to set it up. Bumbled through and found 7+, selected it and got the message "due to technical limitations support for 7+ was discontinued in December 2019 for tvs made in 2013 or earlier".

Guess how old our tv is?!

Still don’t know why we didn’t stack our team with overage players, like the chance was there

Tonight Asensio was the absolute difference when came running at our tired players. Probably could have done with Boyle.

Yep a draw will do it, regardless of the other result. It’d put us on 4 points and Egypt on 2 so we’d finish ahead of them. A Spain Argentina draw puts us ahead of Argentina on goal difference. A Spain win leaves Argentina behind us on 3 points. An Argentina win puts us ahead of Spain on goal difference.

A win guarantees qualification and a loss guarantees elimination.

For the neutral it’s actually been a pretty good group. Going into the last game all four teams could qualify or be eliminated.

Australia go for the win and play positive.
