    New Wanderers Head Coach?

Yeah sure. Arnie gives up coaching a premiership winning club to take the Socceroos to a World Cup - but no wait, stuff that I will go back to the A-League to coach a team in turmoil, with clueless administrators and fans that hold him in such regard that they painted a tifo of him fellating a wanderdog. As for Ange, yeah no worries, just won the J-League, but you know what that couldn’t possibly beat a stint in Parra. I love our club to bits. I even love reading this forum so much I decided to start posting after years lurking. But sheesh people gotta get real...

    Squad Development 2019/20 Part 2

No champ, I have multiple contacts within the club & have done since day 1. I try not to post anything that would damage the club, but, for those who have been watching this channel since mid 2012, they know how to interpret stuff I may post from time to time on here. I don't post stuff on here, no matter how unintelligible, for any reason other than to provide a heads up or to quell unrest within the forumites. It doesn't benefit me in any way, if anything, I cop plenty of grief from club employees from time to time, who do interpret my postings as undermining their work / pending announcements.

@FCB has been lost to the WSW football community for a while, or at least temporarily. He's a shattered man. He now longer understands football & needs to take a breather. We keep in touch. @ManfredSchaefer is larger than life & is always present (unless I'm seeing things) at pre-game locations knocking back a beverage or two

    The Weather Thread.

Yeah it's a pretty amazing contrast we get up here in general but it's been a pretty extreme year. Fair bit of snow (although, not anywhere near as much as used to happen), hottest day on record, fires, now a good week or more of the thickest fog in memory and then drizzle with a couple of storms thrown in. It was a year ago we had really full on hail as well. Was hoping to get out this way today but it's a bit wet, and foggy as well so wouldn't be able to see much into the grose from the evans end... just waiting my chance for it to lighten up. I guess this is what fire trails are for though (not my picture)

Bring back Gorman he has proven to create the right culture, just look at what he done with the sharks going from drug cheats to a respected club again. No community feel anymore just a dull corporate feeling with plenty of junk mail flogging corporate or sales crap. A serious review needed in all aspects of operations then implement some changes.

    New Wanderers Head Coach?

To save you having to read it (in order): JP, Ian Crook, Arthur Diles, Dean Heffernan, Ufuk Talay, Paul Okon, Kosmina, Kewell, Hayden Foxe, Andres Carrasco (Popa's old assistant). A big meh to the majority of those. Reckon Bossi is just making **** up. And if this is the only contenders, we're in a worse state than I thought.

We've allowed VAR to play a role in numerous results, by having a porous defence at times & not being clinical in front of goal

Our turnout to this (once much anticipated) fixture has dwindled alarmingly over the past 3 seasons. So will this be any different or will we all fit round one table in the Settlers? In x2

    The Weather Thread.

Well I went out anyway and got a bit wet. Of course it was misty as at Evans and heaps of valley cloud so you could barely see - but, joy of joys, it parted just briefly to reveal our favoured camping spot on the floor that looked in pretty good shape. I could see further up towards blue gum at times but not really. Everything east of Junction Rock looked pretty burnt though. Then went across the fire trail back towards town. That was a stark journey. One side green, birds aplenty, the other black as hell and silent. Really, the very edge. Went for a wonder into the fire zone but was very eerie. Still.... some canopy left at least. On my way bumped into some others out and about and had the standard chats sharing info. They were laying food in places for wildlife and had seen a wallaby. They also told me they'd heard blue gum wasn't too bad. Glad I went. Now for anvil rock.....

If you ever get a chance "Wild Men of Sydney" is a good read. NSW politics in the 19th century... Blackmail, duels in the street shitting in plant pots at Macquarie, street, massive corruption. all pretty tame these days in comparison.

Stick him in a full kit and a bunch of badges on a club beanie and he's camped outside the gates of the training ground waiting for autographs and he's online cutting loose because some squaddie has gone to a rival.... Some people just latch on to things outside themselves... i mean, we all do to varying degrees.... it's sad, but it's not just a royal thing. Michael Jackson fans are the ones that weird me out the most though.

It's arguable there should be changes at all levels given the calamities the club have been through. JT, the director of football. All of them! If we can't get rid of the owners, get rid of those we can. Only problem is, is it better the devil you know? Who is to guarantee that their potential replacements will do better? The club doesn't have a great record of replacing people with better alternatives.

I've seen them in action when they were in their prime playing & or coaching days. Ray Richards is a friend of mine & we had plenty of dealings over the years. He relocated to Callala Bay a couple of years ago, after selling his Sports Factory business. I was also fortunate enough to watch Ray & co from the 1973/74 Soccerroos squad play against South Korea in the WC qualifying campaign & later against Pele both in Sydney, which probably dates my involvement in Oz football.

Can they set a culture, not just a playing style. Look at W-league team and they seem have a great culture with Heffernan, Cannuli and Beauchamp.

Yep, I mentioned Critto & Luke Wilshere to a WSW suit on Sunday. They would make a wanderful coaching duo I'm trying to get to the bottom of Critto's current licensing status, as rumours suggest that paperwork whatever that means (I probably should just bring him hey) may have prevented him from progressing any further

Did my surgeon's check up today. Got the cast cut off and stitches removed, just my arm on it's own now, got a 3 inch wound/scar. Have to do some physio at fairfield hospital and then more check ups next month. Still feels weak and a bit painful to move so still have to take things easy.

The amount of tourism and media exposure alone that the Royal Family bring to England/UK is worth billions of £££ annually. You can't buy that amount advertising. "Forbes reports that the British monarchy “contributes nearly £1.8 billion ($US2.4 billion) to the UK economy” annually, including £550 million ($US720 million) in tourism." They ain't giving that up anytime soon. The couple of hundred million the taxpayers give them each year pails in comparison to the benefit they receive from it.

@Wanderboy I find a lot of people in Australia like to say I told you so maybe it’s a humanitarian thing worldwide here I find it quite overbearing at times... it didn’t work out but at start of season everyone was more happier than 12 months before - I think the I told you so to @FCBand @ManfredSchaefer was a little overboard - now and again to throw in a jibe is okay there were times every 4th post in certain threads was calling them out - lesson for all there’s no need for it - have you fun and move on quickly people don’t need to be bombarded with I told You so, no one knows best except maybe David gallop 😁

You’re right, Babbel could have left without saying anything. He also could have leaked to the media everything that was going on behind the scenes & who are the people to blame. Could have blown up the rest of the season if he wanted. Instead he goes out & says that, then somehow the club are to blame for the manager wanting to go out in the right way? I mean

Not sure where to put this, here will do. Rode down to town on an errand today and then bumped in to someone who told me the lookouts were open... so rode out to Govetts. Will aim to do Evans tomorrow and ride across to it via the fire trail through a patch that was pretty burnt. I really want to get out to Perry's - past the rock on the left - to see what state bluegum is in from above but the fire uncovered an asbestos dump up that way plus that area was the worst hit so I suspect it's still closed. Anyway took a couple of snaps. There's a fair bit of green in my end of the Grose - it's patchy, so that's good news for just about my favourite place in the world - so I am buoyed a bit personally by it. We've been lucky up here. All walks are still closed and judging by what I saw will be for some time, I reckon it will take a while to look at damage to railings etc.
