Hopefully Llorente has overcome his injury.

Raul didn't start in the derby because of said injury.

Why would Llorente be on the bench last week if injured?

Not sure but heard it on the Soccer Stoppage Time pod this morning. Rallis said and he seems to be in the know.

Just listened to Gombau's press talk yesterday.

What he didn't say is "we will win". Beyond that: don't worry, it's a process. Those who didn't see all the positives last week: you don't know what the coach is trying to do. Those who did see it: hope you enjoyed it.

Gombau doesn't feel any pressure, or so he says. We can expect a few different players on the pitch, but no change to formation and approach to the game. Same game plan as in the derby. No Plan B. No modified Plan A.

Everybody trained hard, so the team can do right what did not go right in the derby. That means implementing Plan A. Well, that's good, as we'll be playing against another well structured, defensively minded, fast counter attacking team that beat the Smufs 1:0 a few weeks back.

So if half of what went wrong in the derby can be sorted then we can look forward to just a 2:0 or 3:1 defeat. Which will be really thrilling for those who get off on process stuff.

Out. Have had an extremely stressful time at work and i am frankly exhausted. And my finger wound is infected putting me on a second round of antibiotics. Not feeling 100%. So its a game too far for me today unfortunately.

Really hoping Gombau's philosophy yields some wsw fruit. And , well, a win'd be nice.

    COYW!

Mariners without Roux (McGong) and Hiairej (Liam Rose). Asdrubal in with Hoole and Pain on the wings.

Powell and Appiah on the bench

    Still no Herd.

I think it’s safe to say he’ll be the first to go.

concerning that he is probably the only player in our squad that can breakup play in the midfield... since he has gone MIA, we've been losing battles in the midfield and unable to control or dictate the tempo of the game

As for the line up... Don't know what to really make of it tbh...

Sorry to hear.... hope you get better soon.

Interesting call with Robbie and Riera.... maybe they are the ones that haven't said Si Señor!

Robbie Slater is the Alan Jones of the A-League so not worth listening to.

    CCM and Smurf bias.

Tries to find every season to give us ****

interesting that faith was kept in aspro - he has taken several big steps back this year i think and the smurfs just took the piss out of him last week, allowed him to have the ball and marked everyone else.

5 changes i think - clisby, corny, big baccus, scott and hamill all out

    • Best shown by a chance Toure had when an Indonesian player had fallen over, he had a simple ball about 10 meters that would have put one of our attackers clean through for a one on one. He over-hit it and ruined the chance. Also falling for the same old Asian team diving & time wasting, by giving away stupid fouls to let them fall over and sit on the ground for minutes. 11 minutes stoppage time is probably half what it deserved.
    • Yet again, a failure of pace and power football over technically skilled football in on display in the Olyroos vs Indonesia.  We need to develop skills over pace at all levels
    • Milanovic & Brook should have been on the next flight home at half-time.
