This hurts us. He hasn't shaken the net much this season, but he's busy and stretches defence. Hope he's good for the Adelaide game.

We are also where we are without any marquee. The only team to have no marquee running around, so we are in effect always a man down, and the highest paid too. What a massive waste of money. Pio not good enough to make the matchday squad ahead of Pepper, Baccus and Sotirio.

Agree WHACKO, no point worrying about it. There could be a million reasons he is frozen out.

With Bridge back I think we'll see him start up front again. Nichols obviously and then I'd like to see Golgol start again but I think that Popa will see him as an option off the bench. Sotirio one side (though he was shocking last week) and Romeo the other.

Peeps need to stop believing that the squad Popa submits on Thursdays, as being gospel.

Squad still have a training session or 2 to get through, before the starting 11 is confirmed.

my source tells me that when first left out of the squad prior to the transfer window closing was a move deliberately to offload him hoping that pio would jump ship .....furthermore when pio didn't and more so didn't react at all to being left out ...as in kick the **** out of people at training , ask to speak to the boss etc but just kept doing what he has been doing at training at the same intensity without asking for a release that pissed the gaffer off even more...

Unfortunately I agree. Though if Dario is fit I hope Sotirio misses out and Golgol stays on the bench. I'd like to see Golgol start - he and Bridge can rotate during the game - but I don't think Popa will do it.
