It's all a bit flat isnt it? We may just scrape into the 6.  If we do we'll be handed our backsides promptly.  So once again it's looking forward to another interminable lengthy off season and pages of speculation over who we will, might, should sign.  There doesn't seem much to play for does there?

If we get into the 6 we might do ok, as to get in we will have to go on a decent run of form.

Yep...and we will prob muck about looking for a new manager..will it be JP / wont it will run on, expect an early FFA Cup knock out. Recruitment will come late with a few last min desperation signings after missing out on main targets. We will be better after Xmas and in to 2021 though possibly..but the guy we thought would rip the comp apart will be another dud and sent packing come Feb 2021...

Rinse and repeat....its difficult to raise future expectations with this club these days.

Geez this talk could send a person to neck himself , be positive Like Ange, yes we are shitty shitty but the joy of the week is that The smurfs who are ultimate arrogants are shitty in Asian football even with cheating methods , the second time the smurfs have played with out Ninco and BumJohnnyhand has looked very average both times. The Nix was talking him apart in the early rounds until excuses galore Corica pulled him at half time and put Ninco on.

by the way We will beat Adelaide tonight.

You forgot to mention kit design.

    Also, the season starts now.

After a calm down from last week, believe we can win tonight, win and a draw suggests something has changed, yes it's the cellar dwellers but we have shown some good form, just got to raise the consistency & effort to prolong our good passages of play, yes there has been some!, but the big step up is also defending and reacting first to the breakdown in play and keeping the ball, got to improve and eliminate the mistakes and soft give ways, sounds easy i know.

got to be collected here, positivity breeds positivity we can win tonight, going have a few sherbets and head on down and enjoy our win tonight, definitely glass half full top 6 is achievable.

Yes, but what do you expect? We barely won the game against the Mariners now wooden spooners & were dismal against Newcastle who were contenders for the spoon in tenth. In fact I’d say we weren’t competitive apart from the first 20 minutes. Watching us play is a bit like nails down a chalk board, it’s a tough watch.

Love the positivity brother but there has been very little to be positive about this season. The first few weeks were something that we could hold on to, even if our ladder position hid the problems below.

JP in the media is really good at spruiking buzz words in the media conferences but underneath there appears to be  not much changing. JP appears to set up a team well, team to play with purpose but can he change things if things don’t go to plan? Based on Newcastle, appears not.

JPM has said they have made some “tweaks”. Dunno about you guys but I’m pumped.

If we could repeat what we did in the first 20 minutes for 90 minutes, that would be a pretty great “tweak”.

It’s going to be key, that if things go to **** that we are able to tweak our system to compensate. I’m not sure JP has the ability to do this during games.

And thats the key isn't it that 20-25 mins needs to produced for 90 minutes and to take our chances when we get them

It’s been an issue now for the majority of the season, I’m unsure how a few tweaks fixes this but let’s see how it goes tonight

Just replay the semi final between us and Brisbane to highlight what we expect from them.

Losing 3-0 at home, come back, fight to the death and win the game

If yehbro gets on the field before Sulivan tonight I'm giving up on JP.

If he gets ANY time on the field, that will do me.

And if he does, and his first involvement is another dive, I'll be the first to ring the local undertaker to remove his corpse.

Do we have a replacement for Georgievski? He’s been horrendous. Can’t think of one of the top of my head.

    A traffic cone.

Squad: Lopar, Kamau, McGowan, Ziegler, Jurman, Georgievski, Schwegler, Baccus, Muller, Cox, Duke.

Subs: O'Doherty, Tass, Sullivan, Grozos, Russell, Adam, Suman.

Looks like another week of this crap 532 formation with players out of position.

My bet is <7000 crowd tonight

is anybody other than me actually going???

I recon there is less than 2500 here at the moment. Unless a lot are hiding at the bar and food outlets.

    • We've handled your physical games before, and we were still capable of beating your team as we have some before. Our defence should have done better but we had so many clear cut chances that both Nunez and Salah wasted them for their own selfish reasons.
    • Exactly, Marko needs to "cosplay" as Bielsa squat down and smoke ciggies
    • Sorry but you know I have to put the laugh icon on that don't you? I thought Osman's and Owen's assessment on it was pretty fair. You create chances but you don't finish em, and your midfield isn't up for the physical ugly stuff, Everton managed to turn the game into the physical stuff that suits us. The other thing is DCL bullied your defence absolutely monstered them. Trent Alexander Arnold is a **** defender, he can hit the odd Hollywood ball for the highlights clips but he is a really poor defender. Badly at fault both goals, first one where the f was he it was WSW esque he was way out of position. 2nd one ok he's unlikely to win a header against DCL but at least get up and make a challenge (maybe you pressure him to put it off target). He just stood there. Arguably St Virgil shouldn't have let himself get stuck behind Tarkovski. Finally St Virgil post match, having a whinge about 1230 kickoffs, was funny. Lid it's Wednesday night go buy an alarm clock. I think I might grow a disc beard in tribute the Dyche Man (sorry Shaun ft ever doubting you, you tactical genius you) Anyone noticed that since the Chelsea loss Dyche has dropped the white junior bank clerk shirt look and gone for the trackie manager look. We have one both games. Rudna take note
