I think next Tuesday night will tell us how we are going , I hope we put a strong team on the park for Saturday against Adelaide but Melbourne City will be the big test depending on which City team turns up.

4 teams below us on the table with 1 or more games in hand and all capable of getting results. We really need to start creating a buffer otherwise we will slip away as these games are made up.

6 point game in terms of making finals + our two other fixtures against United will be in Adelaide

If I had time, I make a banner along the lines of "It's a game of two halves!"

We should have control of the midfield in this game. Hard to see how Mauk can boss it for United with Dorrans and Baccus in our midfield unless the ref decides to be Santa Claus for Adelaide again.

What's the go with wearing a mask? Do we have to wear one when we are out of our seats?

My youngest is starting at the Red Devils as his first ever team this season. I'll make sure to wear my red WSW cap so you can spot me in the sea of sky blue.

At training I’ll be the coach wearing WSW merch easy to spot

    Is he in under 6s?

I told Wanderers that East Sydney had been emailing the parents and I needed some help to ensure that my girls team don’t go to the dark side

hopefully being match mascots will hook some of the kids in

Mauk needs an "early taste" but preferably well away from the penalty box :xnod:

    from club email:

"Patrons are strongly encouraged to wear face masks when entering the stadium and moving around the venue, including whilst buying food and beverages and using the bathroom facilities"

Our squad has so much depth i don't even know who would get omitted for matchday. I'm thinking probably Georgievski for one but i have no idea who the other would be. Plus theres no Ziegler or Tass, this is unreal

    Robbo's press conference:

No mention if Troisi will play this week. I'm sure Dorrans will be back this week after doing his suspension.

Throwback to when Georgia Yeoman-Dale (Wanderers W-League Player) called him Yebobah at the Leeds match.

    • Its gone now with the new light rail project but I remember this crossing...
    • It's not Baccus fault we lost. It was a collective effort.
    • @Wanderingbeersclub Does this sounds like our facebook moans? This is the cause of our complete inability to play through the middle too. We play with so much width that if Baccus picks up the ball deep, he has 2 options down the middle - Dorrans or Troisi. Neither of them is looking for space and even if they do they will be double teamed by a mid and a CB. The other option is cox comes screaming back into midfield but he receives the ball at double pace (ball moving forward, cox moving backwards). You can't kill a ball dead, simultaneously turn and look for the ONLY available player, the advanced striker. The wing backs are all the way at the back line waiting to receive the ball so they aren't an option. Take a look back at Duke's efforts last season on Kayo, the amount of times he came screaming back into the midfield to advance the ball was insane. Of course both he and cox have pretty average first touch so it goes flying, though Duke started to work out he could flick the ball to the wing backs with about a 50% success rate. This system needs genuine top flight wingbacks to make it work and those kind of players just don't exist in our little dust bowl. A 4231 at least offers you multiple options for advancing the ball, you can shift your wingers vertically or horizontally depending on the space. Not to mention anyone using traditional wingers against our 352 is going to completely dick us on the counter (reference last night's complete disaster)
