the documentary about us winning the ACL is on........so at least we can remember that

Yes we have that crutch to rely on. Since 2014 our trophy cabinet contains only dust , cobwebs and cockroach droppings. But maybe it will soon contain a wooden spoon.

On the handball - i don't think it was, but neither was DG's or schwegler's. That inconsistency is horrendous as a fan.

O'Donovan should have been sent off. He deliberately and forcefully throws his elbow back at the head of an opponent, its not part of his jump. It 8s violent conduct  it is a red.

Having said that, aside from first 20 and little 5 min period towards the end we were poor. Major lack of movement in front of the ball (apart from mo) and REALLY poor football decisions all over the pitch. We are going nowhere.

    At least Babbel made subs...

But still, we had them by the neck and then dodgy no-penalty call plus fluke Neville header and we're done

They then jag another fluke 1-2 goal which any other week would've been skyed to row ZZZZ and then they park the bus

Not sure that one really qualifies as a fluke. It's a well taken goal and the kind we might score if we actually passed the bloody thing forwards.

Its another dead rubber season, which with the new stadium is a total disaster for the growth of this club, such high hopes we had. What is there from here, hope we get over 10k between now and seasons end for home games lol

We have been ok in short bursts only. We dont work hard enough on the basics and that rests firmly on Babbels shoulders.

That’s as maybe, but you really are getting tiresome

Guess you know how I felt earlier in the season when I was being encouraged to gamble on someone else’s hard on for a couple of a frauds.

Thought we were decent in the first half, 1 up and hitting the post and looked in control, then neville pops one in and we look like rabbits in the headlight, they come charging out the blocks2nd half and we do not seem to match their organization, that's all it was they were better organized than us and cute with the yellows.

Muller was bypassed a lot 2nd half did not get involved as much, Subs and timing of them i have no problem with tonight, Meier can bugger off now i have no faith in him whatsoever bring biscuit back least he had balls.

only positive my liver can go back to normal now.

Just posting to say I can't be bothered posting anymore...I'm broken...

PS One of the best things about walking out of the stadium tonight was how good natured people are...despite their disappointments and frustrations.

On the street, in the lift in the carpark....

And we still have a community here worth participating with.

This won't be as easy as some people think, none of our games are anyway. First off we will have a brand new midfield with maybe only a couple a of training session together. A short turn around having played last Friday. As well as having played in temperatures in the mid to high 30's.

we can whinge about a football match but there's a lot out there in Australia at the moment that dwarfs tonight's result.

We looked good in the first 20 mins, actually stringing passes and playing positively. Then once we conceded, it looked as if we forgot how to pass, and everyone stood still instead of running into space to receive the ball. Rubbish effort.

You obviously didn’t walk past me tonight, I was screaming the whole time. I really cut loose tonight and ****ing unleashed at the officials tonight, especially in that second half. Not sure if anyone heard me but I was screaming my guts out when O’Shea had to get treatment for 5 minutes when the sideline was 2 metres away.

I honestly don’t know I keep coming back to the games. I feel like I physically and mentally cannot stop going to the games. But then I get to then and am mentally drained from this absolute garbage.

Might as well get $100 bills and start flushing them down the toilet.

The time wasting was infuriating as well. Did anyone see when we got a corner around the 75th minute and Jamie Young picked a ball up and threw it inbetween about 6 Roar players so nobody could get it out or start play. And then he started acting like it suddenly just appeared there. I honestly wanted to run onto the pitch and kick the **** out of him.

And why does O’Shea get to have treatment for 5 minutes on the pitch when the sideline is FUC*** 2 metres away!!! While Ziegler has to go off for 5 minutes and then we concede. Absolute bu***** and I’m tired of it happening every game.

Need some motivation to go to the games now. I have to tell myself it will get better but it nevee does. 😔

We were bad..... really bad , no urgency no passion. Saying that we still should have to lost that game. The penalty call, if you compare it to the DG one it was always a penalty. Is it a coincidence that a all these calls seem against us ?.... Who knows.

With the second goal O'Donavan should have been sent off. It also annoys me that a player gets fouled & injured and he has to go off to get treated, that is a pure disadvantage to his team, in this case without the defender we conceded and lost the game.

So what's next....if we had a relegation battle it would have said he should have been sacked 3weeks ago. Without relegation I don't see any point it will not fix anything we will still need to wait for next season for the clean out.

People were despondent, sad even, but I didn't see anyone angry.

Just watched the end of the doco about us winning the Asian cup.

Was nice to be reminded of that incredible success.

Not sure when things will get better for us, but they will.

    Take care. :xnod:

People were angry after the Newcastle game last month...i was ******* livid until they missed the final penna last week. Anger is simmering just under the surface, if the season drifts further you will see that more.

While we are at it, when Baccus and Schweigler back would you keep Ziegler in DM alongside PS or drop him back to defence? or to bench?

thought first half he was doing okay then the collective were not performing to their abilities second period, believe he is a better DM than centre half myself.

    Not sure.

Sadly, people are probably just detaching themselves.... which is worse than being angry.

Because it means they have stopped caring.

That's mentality, mental resilience and the ability to focus on your role under pressure. We are sadly lacking these things

Just got home.........Disappointed to say the least. We are not a good side. We play how we train........... #BabbelOut.

If one of your players has to go off for an injury and that injury was because of foul play then the player given the yellow card goes off as well and doesn't come back on till the player he fouled has been treated and gets back on the field. Tonight the team commiting the foul got a extra man advantage. We got a free kick and reduced to 10 men.

Wow I have never thought about it like that. Great insight.

You could introduce temporary dismissals for A-league for elbows to the head.

He should of got a red. The point remains we were fouled and we were the most disadvantaged by the foul. 10 men and we concede. The oppostion player got a bit of yellow plastic waved at him and stays on the field. 10 v 11.

    • Pep Guardiola: "I'm going to defend you until the last day of our lives in the press". Rudan: Runs onto the field at full-time to berate an attacker for a goal coughed up by the two fullbacks being lazy, then slates him in a post-game interview and the press conference.  Sure, he apologised for "singling him out", did he apologise for singling out the wrong player to start with? The Mariners & Nix finished 5th & 6th in 21/22 when Rudan took over. Rudan's second year we finished 4th then lost to the smurfs in Round 1 while the Mariners won the Grand Final. 3rd year, CCM are the favourites for the Premiership, the Nix have a chance if CCM drop points, and we're back in 6th with a game tomorrow against a team who beat us 7-0 earlier in the season that if we lose we're out of the finals spots, and even if we made it, we're probably just going to lose to Victory in Week 1. I'm so over this ****. Rudan has had three years and done **** all to improve things, he's not done well enough to add all this pointless drama and bullshit.
    • Does he miss the next match?
    • Couldn't they just play their NPL team? it would have been unlikely ADL would have beaten them as well
