Sydney FC took a lot of potential supporters we could of had. I would say 40% of their membership would come from West Sydney. So if we get around 10k it is a good start.

Spoke with Popa at the launch and he won't named his squad until they have a run through in the morning.

Shinji told me he trained well and enjoyed the session.

Popa didn't disagree re Shinji's comments when I pressed him on whether #21 would play a part at all on Saturday night.

Aaron Mooy simply said Ono is all class and he's loving having him in the squad after only one session which btw happened at Parra Stadium.

On a lighter note Gibbs is known as Ballack by his teamates ie: he's wearing Ballacks #13 shirt.

There's meant to me a really small chance of an even smaller amount of rain (1mm at 39% chance) during the afternoon but by the evening this is expected to clear up and be fine by the kick off time of 7.45pm. So the weather shouldn't be an excuse at all.

In all honesty, I don't think this Vietnamese guy would've come anyway. It's just a convenient excuse. Funny thing is that I grew up with Vietnamese when the whole Cabramatta drug problem existed. Back then they had a bad image. Even though this was the case, I had lots of them as friends. Maybe this guy should take note and not be so judgemental.

i somewhat grew up in cabra and it was a horrible place, i hated it but its not too bad anymore, the main problem i had with it was with all the drugs

Yeah it was pretty crazy goat, for a while there in the 90's when i was like 15-16 i wouldnt go on the trains at certain times, & tried avoiding the streets & liverpool westfields like the plague, just ****wits everywhere, i smoked pot like everyone else so i could fit in & had a problem with coke for ages, had heaps of Viet friends all pressuring me to join their gang, i used to cruise around with them as the token aussie lol it was all a big joke, a lot of friends were speedballin & OD'ing, was a bad time for anyone involved

it doesnt sound fun at least it has gotten way better, i remember having a massive fight infornt of the house i was staying at involving like 50 people for new years a few years back but that was when the police station was there so we were very lucky the police station was very close

lucky its much better, i saw some horrible things back then lucky for me i wasnt there too much

Cab's no where near that bad anymore. Its a completely different area now and it and surrounding areas like Canley Vale are booming in the restaurant/cafe business
