Will be difficult without Beauchamp, Hersi, and Dino.

They haven't got Zwaansvijk or Rogic so that's a bonus for us.

We just gotta take care of McBreen. Hopefully score first. We got a good record when we score first.

Any of the Mariners guys on here have a idea how many people are coming down for the game? I'd imagine there'll be plenty spread out through the stands like last time but how about in the away end?

the mariners don't have an active end.

there'll be plenty of families like last time

a club with no active end?

Ha yeah but to be fair I said 'away end' not 'active end'. They had the 2nd biggest crowd in the away end so far after the smurfs and there were plenty in the other stands so the crowd should hopefully be pretty big. I may be dreaming but after Tuesday's turnout I'm hoping for over 15k.

You sure? They had an expanded away section for the smurfs game with extra bays and they filled it.

I was very confident about this week until I heard Beauchamp is out !!

That will be a huge loss, I expect either D'apuzzo or Polenz to step into the centre back position and partner Topor-Stanley?

maybe even La Rocca or Haliti?

Reece Caira could even start his first game.

I'd be happy with a back four of Caira, Polenz, Toper-Stanley (as captain) and D'apuzzo.

I can't wait to get to the Woolpack and discuss this with the other "If I was a coach" experts

Pretty sure it'll be La Rocca. IIRC he played there the last time Beauchamp was out.

I'm certain the back 4 and midfield will look like this:

While the wing positions are up for grabs, I'd expect Bridge to get one, I think Popa will use Cole to shut down Bojic.

Cheers mack, love the pitch i'm off to football formation to get one..LOL

How come Beauchamp's suspended? He didn't get a card against Victory. By my count he's on 4 yellow cards at the moment (Adelaide away, Sydney FC home, Brisbane away and the 2nd Perth away game).

Also Jaggy, you're dropping Mooy after he's had a week rest?

out wide is where the game will be won or lost. mariners play a tight diamond in midfield. losing rogic is a big loss. for them..but for me mcglinchey is underrated and so is the work of the pommy from sheffield utd...he will be looking to negate tensai as much as possible.

re: this formation i think its fairly spot on ....depends if popa wants to have 2 changes into the back 4 instead of 1....therefore haliti might come wide on the left with cole at LB and dapuzzo  on the bench.

I mentioned before this game along with the victory game just gone is our 'benchmark'....THEY ARE FIT, WELL ORGANISED AT SET PIECES, TACTICALLY WELL STRUCTURED , TENACIOUS, DON'T MIND T GET STUCK IN AND HAVE SOME INDIVIDUALS THAT CAN HURT YOU

would really love us to give it to the mariners....arnie is a massive whinger and i hate the fact that any young player that gets a chance at the mariners is quickly labelled as one of 'their' youth products and coming from their 'youth system'......WTF ???? AFTER ONE OR TWO SEASONS IN THEIR STIFFS ???

Surely Kubi could step in and replace Hersi?

I mean like he has a bit more pace than Hersi and Josh Rose who he will be facing isnt the quickest bloke around and can get flustered when run at a few times

LOL..I forgot all about Mooy to be honest..

i think kubi should be given some game time this game.

central coast are very well organised and kubi has that x-factor.

even if its for the last 20 mins.

i didn't notice either but he did, at 81m25s he made a challenge in the victory half but the ref played advantage and didn't actually book him until the next stoppage.

La Rocca will replace Beauchamp, at this stage Popa likes to make like-for-like changes and not shuffle players around, if he can help it.

if d'apuzzo is 100% fit then replaces cole

can Haliti play on the right? if so to replace Hersi

Ono got a couple of knocks so might start on the bench, except that poljak came off against victory holding the back of his left leg so may not be 100% fit, if he doesn't play that is a huge blow, his defensive midfield work has been exceptional and underrated

    covic

    polenz-la rocca-topor-d'apuzzo

    mooy-ono-cole

    haliti-gibbs-bridge

    bench: poljak/trifiro, caira, kubi, tyson

Thanks mate. I didn't see it at the match and both TWG and 442's stats for the match don't have him down as getting booked so they must have missed it too.

id love to see that young gun Reece Caira get a start or atleast to come off the bench sometime in second half to shake the game up, that quick run he had in perth looks very impressive.....

I've been waiting 40 years to have my own team here where I grew up. I've been watching/playing football all my life and only dreamed of seeing what I saw last Tuesday, in my own back yard. 300m line ups for tickets, whole crowd participation (I was in Eastern Stand) too old to keep up with you lot...lol... Sensational stuff keep up the good work and I promise I will sing loud and proud up with the other grandpas in the stand. Only 4 more sleeps to go before we can smash the competition leaders.

Does anyone know how long Dino will be out for or the extent of his injury?

I like Haliti getting a run, it looks as though he has trained hard in the "2nds", he looks as though he is about go. Looks sharp.

    Again, LaRocca will be solid.
