My hopes for this is to beat Cruz Azul, put in an effort and represent the club and asia with pride against Real Madrid.

Then have a good crack at coming 3rd in the 3rd/4th playoff.

Probably going to be against the African team

This would be a good result IMO.

For me I love the fact that while other HAL teams are getting exhibition games against big clubs we haven't had that kind of luck.

Nup, we'll just force our way to the table, Western Sydney style.

Dare to dream guys and gals, everyone is being so realistic ( pessimistic) with their expectations about our upcoming game.

Did anyone really think we were a chance at being asian champions in our first year in the acl, as long as we get on the field, we are a chance of getting to play real madrid , then we are still in there with chance of making ronaldo shed tears.

    Honestly it doesn't look flash.

Nothing wrong with being realistic, I mean going by the last couple of matches we really should get mauled ..................................

confirmed Marconi will be showing our game. After first telling numerous of fans who called up asking and they said no, some fans had to remind them that as a sponsor of WSW it would show good faith and under some obligation you would have to stay open all night to accomodate us. Or we will sticker bomb your club 4 eva :diablo:

Auckland City beat the local champions (in front of 40,000) so it'll be them against the African Champions in the curtain raiser to our game. With no local interest we might playing to an empty stadium.

    Auckland City to A-league now!

    No,

Wellington Pheonix out of the A-League and stay in New Zealand and they form their own professional league

Says something about Tasmania that we let a team from NZ into the Australian national league before them.

    I want this team out.

Ps. Trolling Cruz azul fans is almost a full time job, luckily I'm on holidays.

It's all via Facebook private messaging, but it appears they don't particularly like being told their team is going to be done like a cheap whore, who they may or may not be the son of.

Serves them right, it's been 2 solid weeks of them posting their crap team all over our team Facebook page.

Tasmania should be grateful that they're a apart of Australia

I get this feeling of WSW playing Cruz Azul as a similar feeling to the Socceroos playing Chile in the World Cup? there's too much focus on Real Madrid, like when the focus was all about playing the Dutch and Spain in our Group, Chile was just like yeh whatever we'll get a result.... we lost.

We have Cruz Azul as our opponent, we lose & we're out!!!!

no point focusing/planning on Madrid when we've got to get through Cruz Azul first.

Auckland City, powerhouse of Oceania, have more OFC titles than the Smurfs.

Therefore Auckland City to A-league now!

    Haha...

Just watched the videos on the app/website of interviews with the players. Hearing what they think/feel has made me even more excited.

Also, what's with the ball? The mention its different to the Nike ball but I thought Umbro do the HAL ball. Or was it just a bit of product placement?

Did they convey feelings of being jipped?

I'm pretty sure the current A-League ball is a Nike. Umbro do the FFA Cup ball. Edited by Davo

    • Pep Guardiola: "I'm going to defend you until the last day of our lives in the press". Rudan: Runs onto the field at full-time to berate an attacker for a goal coughed up by the two fullbacks being lazy, then slates him in a post-game interview and the press conference.  Sure, he apologised for "singling him out", did he apologise for singling out the wrong player to start with? The Mariners & Nix finished 5th & 6th in 21/22 when Rudan took over. Rudan's second year we finished 4th then lost to the smurfs in Round 1 while the Mariners won the Grand Final. 3rd year, CCM are the favourites for the Premiership, the Nix have a chance if CCM drop points, and we're back in 6th with a game tomorrow against a team who beat us 7-0 earlier in the season that if we lose we're out of the finals spots, and even if we made it, we're probably just going to lose to Victory in Week 1. I'm so over this ****. Rudan has had three years and done **** all to improve things, he's not done well enough to add all this pointless drama and bullshit.
    • Does he miss the next match?
    • Couldn't they just play their NPL team? it would have been unlikely ADL would have beaten them as well
