So Leeds play Manchester United on Wednesday in Perth and then us on Saturday night. According to the announcement they have only brought 16 players.

Has any a league side ever beaten one of these visiting sides, or is that not following the script?

They actually won on a penalty shootout against them. So technically yes if you can count a shootout win.

I wouldn't put Leeds United in same status as the likes of West Ham or Fulham, they are much bigger clubs.

Their squad is a mixture of youth and experience. They only have 3 major goal threats that I could see, Hernandez, Roofe & Bamford. They have about 8 first team players staying behind.

Bamford is total gash...Leeds will get shot of him sooner rather than later.

That’s what failing to get promoted will do to a team on tour.

I think he's got more career goals than anyone in our squad has :woah:

They’ll still be quality, we will find it difficult to draw let alone win.

As long as we give it a good go and not sit with 10players in the box for 90minutes (ala Perth) i would be happy.

Not bad, appears 3k sold in the last week, I’d think it is the corporate side that might be a bit sparse. Be nice to crack the mid 20’s

to be honest i would prefer my first experience at new parramatta stadium to be a wanderers experience not a eurosnob circus

    • They could've been doing things outside of what's expected of them when they're travelling with the team..? Could have involved curfew etc. Maybe fraternising sexually is specifically mentioned as something they're not to do while on tour?
    • Rose Batty aired and raised many good issues and she was often fighting entrenched cultural norms .... I watched the following clip from a very famous movie .... a movie on a number of those top 100 movies or a movie you should see... The scene a wife decides to leave her husband in Ireland, and he drags her across the local area and then fights her brother and she happy goes back home smiling as if all's well...  Aside from the racism towards the Irish, i.e lazy, drinking, fighting and stupid... the  treatment of the wife today would result in jail time I am sure...  It goes to show both the power and influence of the media but also were many violent cultural norms become common place... Very interesting viewing and not as old as you would think the movie is... I won't say enjoy ... but tis very worth while watching...
    • Very good point made when they said you can't get most people to move to the hard core positions and therefore with people on say the left pushing people people to hard they get people who even support their ideas offside.
