My Middlesbrough scarf has been through the wash this week (after my son dropped a drink on it in England) and is all nice and soft with a machine fresh smell ready to go :) The lad has the WSW scarf....

Sounds like you wanna pick a fight tomorrow!

    Hehehe....:spiteful:

You realise that your disguise as the WSF pimpernel will be at risk at this game?

And that any number of astute forumites may now recognise you...

A tall bloke with well groomed/newly cut blonde...no... greying hair, a young son, AND a Middlesbrough scarf (smelling newly laundered)...and we'll have found you?

    :lol::lol:

No unfortunately, that FFA Cup game is the only one so far.  With the new stadium though it is probably time to splash some coin and make the effort.

Yes...you should when the season gets going!

Did you come from Sydney originally?

Quite symbolic that a Wanderers XI should take their first step on a ground some thought was 'lunacy' in its planning, exactly 50 years to the day that the Apollo 11 'team' stepped out onto the Sea of Tranquility on the Moon.

[I am old enough to remember watching it live on tv: I was sick at home and our doctor made a home visit (that is what they did in those days) and stayed for the whole telecast. Simon and Garfunkel's 'Sounds of Silence' was played during coverage of Apollo 11's journey.]

I am glad Bankwest will be far from a silent and tranquil base tomorrow. Hopefully we can all show just how far football has come in the last 50 years!

Inspiring stuff mate. One small step for man, one giant leap for Australian football!

I hope the RBB do what we did vs Arsenal.

Sat there quietly for the first 5 minutes, listened to their shitty chants, and then blew them out of the park for the next 85.

There'll be 20 k's of us vs 5000 of them. We should smash it if the stands get involved.

No, am originally from a place whose recently deposed leader was known for his all female body guard and who once pitched his tent on an estate belonging to Donald Trump.

    Sorry to be a spoilsport.

Armstrong took that first step on Monday 21 July 1969 - Australian time.

That was my first day at work in Walgett with the Bank of New South Wales. At lunch time that day the Branch Manager called me away from my workstation to watch the walk on the TV in his house behind the bank branch.
