Going with a mate tonight. Just read restrictions have been increased to all of greater Sydney, no more than 5 visitors to you home. Haven’t read otherwise but assuming game still going ahead?

Those restrictions kick in at midnight.

In x 3  The bulls should be one of the stronger teams this season I think so hopefully playing them first up will be to our advantage

    Dear Team and Management,

Hope you had a great off season.

Can we consider starting this season with some early wins and momentum so that we don't need to chase our tails, play catchup; or sweat on the results from other games to make the finals!
It's difficult to log onto the WSF forum season after season to read statements like "It's only early...", "There's plenty of time....", "All we need is to go on a run....", "We've still got a chance....", etc. from members and followers.

Look, I know that winning is not everything, but perhaps (just perhaps) taking a new approach going into this season may actually encourage people to show up for games, reinvigorate a languishing active supporter base, and
even generate some supporter investment. I think we all know by now that a successful WSW season translates into a successful season for the entire league.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Regards,

    ZachMercer

I’m assuming we need to sit in our designated sections? Perhaps not the exact seat due to social distancing?

Guess I can’t just stand at the concourse and watch there anymore...

Have you read the club email you got today?

    Haha obviously not

But I just did and it said designated seat or section...

Last season my son, mate and myself could have sat 8 seats apart and not bothered anyone. I hope that changes throughout the course of this season and the crowds return.

    Well that's disappointing...

... did some work on the Northern Beaches in the last week.

Guess, we're not going now. Was looking forward to this with some, unjustified, optimism.

I just have that feeling that tonights game could be the last game we will have crowds in NSW for at least a few months.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you there....maybe not months though. I still can't believe they gave the Sydney test match the OK next week

Amazes me that I get to my seat before half time of the woman’s game, probably less than 500 people seated in the whole stadium and have to ask a woman and her daughter to move from my seat. I’m confident there’s others also sitting in seats that belong to my group but can’t be sure until they arrive as we’ve changed up our seating a bit from last season. Do they live under a rock?

Lineup: Margush, Georgievski, Gordon, Tass, McGowan, Russell, Dorrans, Baccus, Troisi, Cox, Ibini

Subs: Kalac, O'Doherty, Yeboah, Grozos, Muller, Ziegler, Aquilina

Seems to be the same 5-2-1-2 formation from last year.

Walking down Eat St there was a minor buzz. Good to see a few restaurants with some WSW and Bulls (BS?) patrons.

But certainly not choc a bloc full.

On the lineup, I think our defence is a bit suspect with a largely untested goalkeeper and a 5 ATB which are unfamiliar with each other. I have more confidence in our attacking individual talent but can they work together? Who knows.

Then we look at the Bulls lineup with Federici, Milligan, Franjic, Meredith. Pretty strong. But again, very unfamiliar with each other.

Benat and Susaeta are on the bench so I think we may eke out a slim victory here?

    Bulls lineup:
Federici, Milligan, Jovanovic, Franjic, Genreau, Puyo, Meredith, Najjar, Susnjar, Derbyshire, Lachlan Rose

    Subs:
Golec, Extebarria, Suman, Ruhs, Hollman, Martis, Susaeta

I feel a bit confident now for the squad now since the Spaniards are starting of the bench. If they can get a goal or two before Milicic puts them on the field, I feel they'll take the three points.

Muller on the bench, that's a brave move assuming he's fit.

Looks like it, there's tape on some seats for social distancing

What’s the vibe like at the ground?

Normal. I’m sitting high up and it’s similar in attendance to what it was last season but obviously no RBB so lots of clapping instead.

Re VAR good to see that a camera angle from the wrong side and without any clear evidence at all can overturn a decision

Clear handball given by ref then overturned by VAR lol.

He has his arms down by his side then moves them into his chest to block the ball.

If that were Schwegler or DG it'd be a clear pen and yellow.
