How good was Thwaite having his little tantrum after Dino crunched him and the crowd booed him for being hurt? He reacted to us in the Western stand earlier in the match but lost it properly after Dino's 'intervention'.

If I am being completely honest, the game itself was a huge let down after coming from last week's away trip.

Not saying I was not happy with the win though.

Yes. The game could have gone either way, and the weather didnt really help in providing any quick ball.

But then mariners played in even worse conditions.

I don't know where this post is going.

Great night and the crowd given the conditions was great.

After the game Topor Stanbley gave his boots to my mates son!!

Some feedback to RBB on the these colors call an repsponse. The song is to slow for the crowds in stands to stay involded. The clapping is awkward with tme delays etc, The first version done just by you guys to each other is a better snappier version.

Love the song and its a winner.

I dont know Stew. I personally like it when they slowed it down. I thought that was much better.

I wonder what Alistaior had to say now after we showed him Perth are NOT the best in the country, NOT EVEN CLOSE!

I was surprised at the the away end. The last time I watched Perth play live was in the N.S.L at Edensor park and they had a lot of support here back then.

There was a bit of trouble with the small group of Perth fans. Someone ran off with their flag as they were going to their cars and got chased down on the bridge where a big crowd gathered around and I'm not too sure what happened there. The Perth guys seemed to have got followed back towards the car park though.

I don't know about anyone else, but for one I don't like seeing stuff like that. Traveling fans really shouldn't be physically interfered with in any way. Apart from being very outnumbered, it may also cause trouble when the Wanderers fans travel to their home games.

Correct - such actions put wanderers fans in danger on away trips. We want real fans not wannabes.

If this happened it is sad.

Apart from that - as always 99.9% of fans did their club proud.

It was better slowed down for sure, at first it sounded way too rushed. But I think we had it perfect in melbourne, need to find that pace again.

Colours unite us all to side lines is great. First time today. Will get better

Yeah it will definitely get better once the grandstands realise there is more than one song.

Actually I just remembered seeing during the telecast that they flicked over to a few ppl on the grandstands and they were singing 'come on you Wanderers'..

(I knew they were in the grandstands because they had that fanny, cardboard thing and were sitting down..)

good turn out for the shed, more flags than supporters from what i could see?

but in seriousness a good result for the team, well played in poor conditions.

Capo stand made a massive difference tonight like we always said it would.

7 wins in a row. Unbelievable.

    Can't wait for next.

Loved givin it to him! That showed we, as in the crowd, got to Perth. Added to their frustrations. Great work!!!

Yeah we need to address our little dip in good football before next weekend or Central Coast will towel us. We won today, enjoyable game, but we had long periods of very average football

Yeah we seem to break down when we approach the 18 yard box. It may come down to great defense but there were times where they would over think it and force 1 too many passes b

..and, just quietly, I think Hersi may have over done the theatrics. I think if he made more of an effort into keep his feet he may have had 1/2 a chance at a pass or shot - rather than have his appeal turned away.

    Just sayin.

Can we bring capo stand to central coast next week?

The 'come on you wanderers' chant was awesome to hear! Completely surprised me, I felt like I was sitting there for the most of the game singing by myself, occasionally being joined by my mate and someone further up the back to where I was sitting and all of a sudden there it was being sung by everyone, sounded epic with the roof over head

The conditions definately played there part in the quality of the match. I'm not really bothered by the performance today. 3 points is what we were after and it's what we got.

Hersi did seem to overplay a couple of challenges. If he tried staying on his feet a bit more I would think he could win more free kicks.

There were times we were a little sluggish (missing Poljak in the midfield was part of that problem) and of course the ground was slow and greasy. It was also bloody hard for anyone to get a roll on with the ref blowing his whistle if a limb went anywhere near the same postcode as the oppo player.

As for Hersi and his interesting attitude to keeping a level head when tackled and/or dispossessed, I guess that is the price paid for having one of the few A-League guys who can look like he has the ball on a string. His attitude is arguably a little too keen to exaggeration in heated moments, but I'd rather have his passion and eloquence with the ball than someone like Thwaite who seemed to do nothing all game but bitch, moan and scream at his team mates.

Bottom line, aside from that moment in the dying moments of the game when Nagai almost pulled off a miracle deflection we looked so untroubled by Perth's attack, and there were several good chances for Gibbes, Hersi and Dino that all went begging.

^^ really? Pretty sure the last 10 minutes was the most nerve racking experience I've had watching the wanderers. Gloryhole had around 3-4 shots on target from memory, which if not on target and stopped by Ante, were close.

If I see another post involving you kissing the RBB's arse ONE MORE TIME I'm going to take the matter up with Jubal.

This is from SFC forum, they are not even allowed to give credit where it is due, it must be a negative talk about WSW and RBB or else LOL

    Link to comment

Wait, why is that quote saying Manfred Schaefer, i.e. the guy two posts above who is obviously and clearly a wanderers fan, said that about the RBB?

    Link to comment

WTF? I can't see anywhere how I posted that?

Wait a sec...I can see that there is someone with the same name but with a space between the first and second...must be a Cove impersonator looking to find a team that knows how to win without having a Russian billionaire try and buy a class team.

wat a match, great to chant aside all the wsw family in the rain great to see the whole crowd wanting to and gettin more involved with every chant whether clapping or singing, sloppy conditions but we held strong and we made sure Perth were welcome to Wanderland

Agreed. A great night for all. Blisters all over my feet, one of which blew staining my sock with blood.

    Well worth it.

For that you will have to drink 13 lattes without going to the toilet whilst reading the 'Terry McFlynn Guide to Good Manners On and Off The Field'
