I've been telling youse all for 12 months that Liam Youlley deserves game time & he didn't let me down.

    Magnificent debut young fella.

Your raving reviews of him got me very excited tonight. He truly did not disappoint.

    So much young talent

I think what I liked most was the positivity of his play - everytime he was looking to pass forward, rather than the constant sideways or back we get from others.

And Aspiro - give the kid a 5 year first team contract now!

There were a few passages of play last night that were along the lines of D'Cunha to Aspro to Youlley to Kuzi, and those movements looked as sharp, as safe and as confident as any moves out from the back to the front that I have seen all season.

We'll be blessed next season if we can keep these lads on the books for another year. I bet the other clubs are circling as I type.

Can I just say what a thoroughly shite weekend this has been, WSW all the goings on there and Boro throwing away auto promotion aspirations, Why the **** would anyone support a combination of WSW and Middlesbrough LOL

A severe case of self punishment if there ever was one! :nono:

On the police conduct. Its clear that there are two worlds of opinion on this. From the insta video outside the ground the police are clearly out of line. They are not threatened and are illegally using the spray. They have regulations on the use and this sits outside of it. All the cops need to do in this instance is back off. Its a question of that one pig not wanting to buckle. They are outnumbered and need to suck it up. Its not a public order situation its a loss of power situation.

I am not of the view that the state, the law and police are simply benign and doing their job. All of these things are oppressive instruments unevenly targeted at the working class, particularly those of ethnic minorities. It has always been thus. I stand behind the RBB and their impromptu protest, too often the injustice of the state goes unchallenged and unchecked. We have the right to assert our own spaces and express ourselves.

Smokie or not, the pigs have been looking for this way all year and some of the more driven members of the force decided that they wanted to have a crack in the last game of the season. Weak carnts. Bet they wouldn't be prepared to meet the RBB in carpark with their badges off and weapons holstered.

I feel safer surrounded by the RBB than I ever will by pigs.

So my five positives from the game

Aspro, having another great game, he reads the game so well and is composed on the ball, he is going to be ace for us

Kuzamanovski's willingness to take people on

Youlley getting the reward for a great game, might of lost the ball a couple of times but he was always trying to be positive

Not being able to hear the woman who generally sits 2 rows behind us and sings both out of tune and out of time

Managing to keep both me and my boy dry

My favourite part of yesterday was Messina pre match with FCB, Braad and the rest. 3 scoops!!

Man, you are easy to please.

I'd have been spewing if any pepper spray got in my mouth and ruined the sweet taste of that vanilla salted caramel ;)

    mmmmm

    • The guy is a professional footballer, even playing on a different side to his preferred, the concept of defending doesn’t change. He hardly looked like he was giving it a go. I think all too often we can be so lenient on mistakes made by players across the league. Let’s not forget that they are professionals, they get paid (a bloody decent amount) and should have the skillset required to atleast be able to do a job in a different to preferred position. It’s not like all age, where one week they are banging then in as a striker and then next they’ve got the gloves on as the regular keeper is away with the missus.
    • More like Neverlosin' the way they're going.
