no no. obviously coming either way.

but i'm assuming they won't have eftpos at the gate, and i'm bringing my little brother and another mate, so will need cash. just have to know how much.

i get the feeling it's going to be at the higher end (not that it matters), given they haven't announced it yet

Massive match, should be a bumper crowd. Biggest test for us thus far. It's fantastic to play one of the all time great NSWPL clubs. The fact that our manager, staff and some players have strong links to Sydney United further adds to the occasion. I know people from my work are calling in sick just for this game so it's got status and traction for sure.

    That's an Aussie tradition eh!

Agree though, we should get 6500-7500 for this. More will be a bonus, less will be disappointing.

i think there is an entry fee.

    min $5 - max $15

Alright sick of speculation, so I've just tweeted @wswanderers for confirmation of any entry fee. I'm guessing they'll know about it ;)

Sydney United set the entry fee, not FFA or WSW FC. We are the away team so don't have much say in the entry fee. I'd be calling SU.

Yeah just got a reply from them and they linked to:

Mack also replied and said "maybe you should tell people because so far the advertising hasn't mentioned an entry fee"

Looks like they listened and posted on their FB.

Benched: I realise that SU set it. but WSW are communicating this game to us and haven't really mentioned an entry fee anywhere. We've all be speculating for weeks.

$15, thought as much... standard what we pay week in week out for a NSWPL match.

But in a NSWPL game both teams put out their strongest teams and only make 3 subs each. That won't happen tomorrow night.

I think it shouldn't be much more then a gold coin and free for kids to try and attract as many people as possible.

can't blame the club for trying to make a buck out of the game.

i hope it doesn't turn people away though, that's all

shld've been $15 (includes free czevapi on a roll, soft drink, smoke bomb & chip on shoulder) - (just jokes - before anyone starts!!!)

Wanderers management should have stipulated with Sydney United, when they organised the match, that it should be a maximum of $10.

    It is only a trial!

for free, $5, $10, $15... who gives a rats, no matter the price you should be out there supporting your 'club'...

if people are worried about a few extra bucks, stay home, but not just for this game, all year round. :bad:

Seems like nobody is allowed criticise anything to do with the club or they're told that they're not the kinda of fans that the club needs!!

we have wages to pay, and a field to be re-turfed in the off season. :xnod::good:

And if Wanderers weren't around the wages would still have to be paid and the pitch would still have to be returfed.

I'm surprised they are charging $15 instead of the nice round number of $10. $15 is nearing GA territory of an A-League game.

mate, your not the first and last team to pay an entry fee at a friendly match, so did sydney fc and newcastle jets, and both times we attracted crowds over 4k.

Hey Beretta, im not worried about the $15 , but it will stop quite a few families when its only a TRIAL!

All I'm saying is that it's a bit expensive for a pre season friendly when both teams won't have full teams out. Hopefully there's over 4,000 at this game too.

guys you're going to watch professionals do what they do best - I always compare entry fees between sport and going to watch bands. You can go see shitty local bands for free (the 3rd and 4th tier of australian football), or half decent ones for 10 bucks (NSWPL). 15 bucks for local bands is a bit steep, but if there's a band on the bill who's got a decent record out and they're going to pull a crowd then its not so bad (WANDERERS! WANDERERS! WANDERERS!). 20-30 bucks for the well known, established bands (i.e. the a league), and anything more than 50 bucks for the money grubbing ***** (the socceroos hahaha)

no one even knows about an entry fee, but the people on this forum, etc... if no one puts it up on social media, then it shouldnt be a problem, and i doubt if they rock up to the gates and realise there is a fee, that they will turn around and go home lol

that sounds like the plan all along to me, which i don't think is right.

anywho, it isn't our decision, and doesn't impact me at all, just don't think that is right

Yes, but when the band is missing their lead singer and guitarist, and playing covers, you wouldnt pay full price.

Mate I'd be surprised if the band even played with just bass and drums.

unless they were primus or something.

    Guys,

    Football is a business.

The players wouldn't play without payment and the supporters would not come if they didn't feel it was a good way to spend some time.

We obviously feel that the game is worth attending for whatever reason. Therefore, we should be prepared to pay the equivalent of lunch money for a couple of hours of entertainment. How much do you have to pay for a hot dog and coke at the SFS? If $15 is too much then you make that value judgment for yourself.

Very dissapointed in the prices for this match. Should have been arranged pre announcement for $8 max.

Dosnt bother me to pay, cos i will.

But 1. Its a trial so its well overpriced.

    2. We are trying to engage fans, and this in particular is an area of great potential. Will definently have an impact on crowd numbers which is a shame.
