Firstly Happy New Year to my Western Sydney Wanderers extended family, wishing you all the very best for 2014.

Game day and I'm looking forward to and entertaining match, even if it's through eyes that now resemble smashed smarties, come on the HOOPS... :clapping:

anyhow must get back to my whiskey and Alka-seltzer

popa takes about rotating the squad.  Were is our young talent of barrasi, perkatis olsen. Surely its time for these guys to be getting some game time with the ACL just around the corner.  I don't want WSW being like our Socceroos - over the hill.

Pretty sure those players play weekly in the NYL anyway, to be called up whenever needed or wanted.

Anyone know if free public transport is included with the ticket? Might catch the ferry

"All tickets to the event include travel on public transport to and from the stadium on train services (bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst and Dungog stations), regular bus services across Sydney, Sydney Ferries and the Light rail services."

The side stands being more active is a very good thing, the Xmas lights worked a treat.

i just wanted to throw the idea out there that those of us in the non-active stands do something to show our support and solidarity with the rbb. wanderers fans generally but the rbb specifically have had to endure a lot over the last few day both from the msm and from a lot of keyboard warriors from other teams.

i'm not sure what form it should take but something along the lines of the rbb chant at the end of the silent protest last season - perhaps the side stands could aim to get there early and chant/clap the rbb in pre match. something to demonstrate our appreciation. the christmas lights thing against ccm shows the side stands are capable of acting collectively. thoughts/suggestions?

Agreed, good to see quality brewhouses in parra. Has anyone checked out Riverside microbrewery in nth parra? Near Bunnings I believe

I'm saving myself and having a quiet new years eve with just a few beers. Need to save my liver and be fresh for New Years day.

I wonder what pubs are open on New Years day? I hope the Bavarian is still open...

    I believe it is..

Gota get a few hefeweizens in before I'm forced to drink that slop served at pirtek...

I know this isn't the right thread but in my honest opinion if we got the whole stadium with scarves up singing glorious it would be honestly amazing ! Let's make it happen somehow ! Abit ambitious but Imagine seeing that tonight

A totally different Wanderer team out there tonight against a totally new Phoenix team carrying their form over the last few weeks into this game.

Very flat and just outplayed by a more enthusiastic team.

Disappointed we didnt close the gap on first. On the bright side we are still second. **** happens. DERBY NEXT WEEK !!

The reality is that we are a side who struggle to score more than one goal in most games. It is eventually going to catch up with us. Wellington are a good team and will make the finals.
