i never called for it to be scrapped, i love the idea of the VAR but its meant to be used to correct clear mistakes but is not doing that, its gone in our favour too so i am not saying oh no the VAR is out to get us but its not doing what it is meant to be doing

On a different note, Liam Reddy cops a one (1) match ban for a DOGSO.

Where's the one for the first half tackle on Llorente. That was a clearer DOGSO imo.

The lowest crowd ever for WSW in the HAL (6612 to be correct) was a good thing to see. It wasn't just the RBB boycotting. Many others have been as well. Expect to see a similar crowd next week for a Saturday night game vs Nix. Clashes with the NPL2 game but that won't be the reason. The reason is the entire HAL is dying a quick death.

 

All A-League fans need to boycott the finals. That hurts the FFA the most as the money goes to them.

But I can't see Newcastle (don't blame them) or SFC boycotting their semis (because they are angels).

 

Crap performances aside. If we weren't subjected to these security measures and antagonistic behaviour towards us, we'd rock up. But the entire experience of being treated less than human is turning EVERYONE away.

The way we're playing I think there's a pretty good chance of a full WSW boycott of finals.  Players an' all.

Thankfully the fear and family intimidation factor was taken out by banning Actives. That at least ensured the attendance was up. Who do you bow for. We bow for the FFA.

I know most are sick of me banging on about gombau but i have to say i expected a bit of a tough period while he implemented his system what i didn't expect was how bad he was going to be at man management.

Even the spanish players seem to hate him and not one of our squad is busting themselves out there for him.

I have never been #Gombauout but i am starting to question his skills as a manager. Connection with your players is crucial. Its hard to see that connection at the moment. And hard to see the belief from the players. 

One things for sure,  we cannot have this cr@p next season. He would need to go if thats the case

But I would've thought that when you're looking for a new club, you'd want to put on good performances to show your potential new employer how good you are?

They won't attract much interest with the performances they're putting out!

SFC look like dropping ~2500 from last years average (which will probably be their lowest since 2011/12). Victory will probably drop below 20k (again the first time since 11/12). The only improvement has been Newcastle. The overall league per game average looks like it'll also be the lowest since 2011/12 and be the 4th lowest in the league history.

We got a very big deal because the A-League and WSW had a lot of eyeballs on it. Companies don't enter into sponsorships just out of the goodness of their heart or because they think the club is "family friendly", they do calculations and metrics and look at what they are getting back in exchange for their cash.

WSW aren't worth the $1m plus a season any more. And the club owners, the CEO, the coach/players who have been around in the past few years are more to blame for that than anything the RBB has done.

Anyone who thinks Sotirio could have kept running after Reddy took him out has rocks for brains. Very from the Chianese incident where he actually laded on both feet then dived to the ground.

And I'm sure the first one was a DOGSO with Raul taken out by the last defender. It would have only been a yellow card though.

On a slightly lighter note I marveled at the Linguistic skills of an elderly supporter in front of me on Sun, he managed to construct literally whole sentences with just swear words on several occasions. Fortunately he had a whole row of seats to himself, then again so did I.

Llorente's "penalty" wasn't. The defender just managed to get the ball. It it was outfield and in our half it might have been given but not as a pen.
