  • Record Loss For Record Crowd

    mack

    0-4.

That's the report. The Wanderers don't deserve anything more than that. Abysmal performance. Worst ever loss for the club, coming in a Derby were 60,000+ people showed up.

    Not good enough at all.

    Very disappointing.

Jumpei was very entertaining and hopefully can convert those skills to goals this season. Bulut could have been a little better I thought but he looks promising, as does Martinez. Nichols could have been better too, but was fine.

Everyone else was terrible, although I think its too soon to be labelling players as flops. I would be dropping Hamill for next week though.

I thought I would like ANZ but it wasn't good at all. RBB did well though.

Serious question why did you think you would like Anz ? Have you been there before ?

The most disappointing thing about tonight is not one Wanderers fan smiling on the train ride home I had to change trains so in waiting for a train I seen 10 trains of wsw Fans none smiling people

Hamills the least of our problems, that was the most absolutely pathetic performance,of any Wanderers team infront of a "record breaking crowd in any code" for a normal fixture it's just not good enough the board need to have a serious look at what they've signed pathetic

I feel like I pick on Hammil But left back is a massive problem for us. He may have been instructed to do it, but he kept coming in very narrow and giving them the wing, much of their play came down that side.

Jumpei played well, bullut and Nichols tried. Martinez looked handy when he came on.

The rest ranged from terrible to anonymous

I have but only when it was empty, I thought with 60 000 it would be great, but it seemed to suck out a lot of the atmosphere still, and this was my first time in the top tier... so far away!

A part of me urges caution.

We could be top of the table at Christmas. Who knows?

It's almost sounding like the Facebook clan, like the end of the world. We have played one game and everyone is critical, this player shouldn't play again this one is crap...boohoo. We had two players playing out of position. You have to remember we never start good.

PS. I hope they can prove us wrong again

    Good post and i agree.

But it really was piss poor tonight and it cannot be passed off as because we are slow starters.

This loss could be compounded if the FFA fine the club and apply the 12 months suspended 3 points. This is a real concern imo. I hope it doesn't happen. But I think it will.

And to think I had to pay $7.50 for mid strength shite to prep for that.

Gutted by that performance. Absolutely gutted

Jumpei, Mitch and for his cameo Nico looked okay. Redders wasn't his to blame for the four put past him. Kerem tried but lacked that last killer punch.

Felt very flat in the RBB...dunno whether it was because of extras who never been there before or layout/set up of ANZ. Just not even a faint echo of our last home game effort.

I am usually willing to try and find positives, and not write a season off after only one game.

    But shite...after THAT Game?

Think people's opinion of the stadium/atmosphere would have been a lot different if the Wanderers won.

Spotless will be jam packed every week with the RBB right on top of the pitch so will be good. No need to worry.

Nothing wrong with anz just it's ******* expensive and it's so hard to find familiar faces, as bozza said when we played edgeworth we didn't sign anything special. were now paying for that we blew all our chances of signing decent talent besides bulut, and jumpei, we missed out on Vuka wilkinson zullo Cahill and **** loads more cough troisi rojas

    Not many positives tonight.

Jumpei great, Martinez also looks good although he doesn't have 90 mins in him yet. Got to give the new imports time, it usually does take time. We haven't won an opening game ever so it's not the end of the world. Just move on to the next game asap.

Haha settle down mack, have a good sleep and post in the morning.

Btw, we clearly lost because we didn't sign Danny Choi

Funny you mention Choi, compared to what we had on the field today he would have been a star

Big call. Choi is weak defensively and Hamill would have been further exposed.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    - I was watching the game from a restaurant as my partner decided to take me out for an early birthday dinner, I saw bits of the game and all I can say is that is wasn't a nice birthday wish...

    - Right from the start, I knew we were f*cked, Hamill is NOT a left back and Clisby was on the bench? terrible decision. I honestly think the left back position is going to be a major issue this season, we should of never released Elrich.

    - Redmayne back to his antics again . So glad his contract is up at the end of this season (same for the likes of Hamill). We need a decent goalkeeper, problem is there isn't much Australian goalkeepers available (unless Covic decides to join us again but he is past his prime now).

    - Pinatares & Borda looks to be Pio v2.0. it'll be interesting to see what the lineup will be next week since Borda has got a suspension (don't use Hamill)

    - Jumpei is a great player, I think him and Nichols will work well together. Martinez seems like a good additive to the club as well. Bulut, Jumpei, Nichols & Martinez is our starting 4...Popa, make it happen (and also, don't use Hamill)

    - Its seems that the RBB don't understand the word "disloyal" and decided to use flares, nice work, dumbc*nts. An absolute disgrace towards the club.

CONCLUSION: Sh*t game, s*it performance, sh*t way to start the reason, Hamill & Redmayne are f*cking s*it. The only thing that was good tonight was dinner at the restaurant.

Not only did we lose tonight, but it looks like we'll be starting the season with minus 3 points. Thanks RBB you useless c*nts...

No excuses for this shitty start philosophy please it's beyond a joke we signed **** cause were tight we need a profit then the team might click then we sell our best players and don't resign others cause they want a few dollars more it's the circle of profit I mean life

Record crowd was great too see. WSW performance was lackluster hence poor atmosphere. A goal in the first half would have transformed the stadium into a caldron. The fans are there to enjoy the football and lift the players but the players need to inspire the fans.

Top tier is too far away the bottom tier is too flat probably only 10% of the seats are any good .

The problem is that it's not the 60K that make the atmosphere it's the 3K RBB . So 3K in a small stadium sounds good but 3K RBB in a huge stadium sounds not so good . To get some atmosphere we need 10-15K to step up do some chanting which obviously won't happen .

That was the football version of a gang ****.

All this talk from within the club about this new squad which is soooo much better than last year's. Yeah yeah.

All five imports need to work out, not just four, JT said at the member's meeting in June. Borda and Pinatardes look like duds, Jumpei shoots like a girl the same way Castelen whacked the ball in the sky. That'll be 2.5. Not four, let alone five.

We got a demo today way Bulut didn't make it in Europe, and Bobo and Holosko banged them in for Besiktas. Sometimes money scores goals.

Gone backwards. Mid table squad at best.

I agree with everything except that I disagree your part about Bulut, he only had one clear shot at goal and it was saved by Vuka, cant fault Bulut for a good effort that turned into a good save, Bulut had poor service through out the whole game. He ran hard, he showed good vision to pass the ball. There isnt much he can do when he is marked out by 3 players.

CFs don't get many chances in a game, usually. Bulut had three, one of them a sitter. Bobo and Holosko had about three chances between them. The output was different, and that's what made the difference.
