yeah was a smaller turnout, probably 100 people.

covered the same things, with the same resuls. however the colours of the club was pretty even with black and red, black and white, and even green and gold got a decent mention.

they did say they will name a coach in the 2nd week of may

How about we come up with a list of points to make at the next meeting that don't seem to have gotten airplay at the previous meetings?

For one, I recon make the point that the first Sydney derby should not be in round 1. maybe a few rounds in, and not at ANZ?

    Top idea (both of them).

Could I add that the idea of supporter representation on the board needs to be stressed if this is truly going to be a supporters club

That the structure of the board etc, especially with regards to ongoing supporter consultation, also needs to be clarified

I'm working on this aspect from within the inner sanctum.

Good on you for having your say fella. .

Funny how we visualised an image of a fellow forum member from behind a keyboard and in reality, they're never as we imagined.

I made this point to Lyall after the meeting (told him game 1 should be v jets) but that they really need to find out what fan think of this... Pointed out a lot of folk near me in the room where talking about it as a round 3 or round 5 game, that there needs to be time to build up to derby1

Think the big thing out of the night was the need for the Colours be linked to the area in some historical sense.

The idea I spouted about the light horseman came to me as I was speaking...... But..... Red = the blood the spilt, and the remembrance poppy (hence the rd poles at the m7/m4 intersection)....... And some of the nsw lighthorse wore BLACK cock feathers in their caps.

The 7th light horse regiment (who I think trained at wallgrove) actual Unit patch Colours where red and black.

And that Ed Husic would get my vote if I lived in Chifley. First polli I've met who wasn't a douche!

Did they speak any more about the historians supposedly looking into the subject?

Also West Sydney has a proud ANZAC tradition ;)

Ed Husic retweeted my tweet about cevapi and cannoli needing to be made available at home games. He also replied to me with a big "YES!!"

    hahahah

Yeah, I pretty sceptical when it comes to politicians, however, I had a chat to Ed and his wife outside the club at the conclusion of the event last night.

Whilst he was complimentary of my input (which is always a good start to any conversation) he understood that Blacktown Int. Sports Stadium was not capable of hosting A- League games partially due to traffic gridlock that occurs in the adjoining precinct when sporting events are conducted at the venue.

He was forthcoming with information in regard to the possible development of Western Sydney Regional Park. Seems that the original charter allowed for development of 5% of the site which includes the construction of potentially covered arenas. He appears keen to develop that portion of the green space for sporting endeavours, so he's a fella worth keeping in touch with.

I can see why some within the Labour party are keen to see him elevated to the Minister for Sport portfolio when the opportunity arises.

Well I was the goose who brought up Ray Richards old CAR out the back of Marconi stadium and that the name Pride V Glory was to gay.

Our club Mt Druitt Town was there in numbers to support Ed Husic who is our Club Patron. The guy is fantastic, down to earth and Brifgitte his wife is a football tragic!

thank you, i only said idiot because of how i was very nervous and not very eloquent :P still got my point out kinda, i forgot to mention that i think doing that could attract more fans(many people who dont follow football do it cause they think its soft) and it reflects the culture of the west, we are the working class for the most part, if a player dives its like taking a short cut and i would say the majority of people in the west take pride in the work they do and dont take shortcuts, they are a few things i forgot to add but still :P thank you very much for your reply though

It was good last night i made the comment about disagring with the person if you had west or western you'd be ailenating the whole of sydney by stating that i was born at Waverley hospital and thats considered Eastern suburbs/south sydney Area now living in the eastwood area and through my high school days grew up supporting a club from the west and liking the west region and that im supporting west sydney so i do not belive you are alinanting any one if your a football fan you will jump on board no matter what.

I really don't get this idea that we'd be alienating the rest of Sydney by having West in the name. Western Sydney has a population of almost 2 million ******* people. So how many people are you actually going to alienate.
