The draw is due for release on Tuesday the 19th but the New Sydney Club has yet to release any official information on the make up of the club.
There has been zero concrete information released by the club.
We still don't know who has signed with the club. Recent 'confirmations' by other media outlets have been nothing more than disguised speculation or attempts to insinuate unconfirmed reports and rumours as exclusives.
Very little has come to light in recent weeks.
There are still no colours or a shirt for the club. This despite the very small amount of choices that were offered, and the overwhelming majority preference for black and red.
There is still no name for the club.
We don't even know if the club are going to be West or Western.
No logo.
There is no confirmation of where the club will play except for information that Parramatta Council has made a bid to help the new club establish itself in the Parramatta LGA. That in and of itself gives no indication as to if the club will play at Parramatta Stadium as that facility is owned by Venues NSW, a State Government organisation.
There are still no confirmed player signings.
There are no confirmed staff signings apart from Lyall Gorman, Ante Milicic and Tony Popovic, and only a handful of rumoured staff members. The club has also yet to advertise for certain key positions in the backroom office of the club. Edit - After posting I was informed that this was incorrect, and the club has likely appointed several back office staff members.
No membership packages have been released, nor has any information on what those packages might contain or what they might cost.
Worst of all, the club has already failed in it's promises to maintain contact and be open and transparent in it's dealings as it begins it's life. The new club's twitter account went silent for a period of 10 days between the 4th and 14th of June. Why wasn't it used to state what was being done, even if the details couldn't?
This black hole of information has cost the club and it's supporters a huge amount of momentum. The FFA must come out with information on the club in the next week or people will start to talk about the bid becoming another Rovers failure. It's time for the FFA to open the curtain. It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be everything. It has to be something. The failure to release information next week would be a monumental failure by the FFA in respect to the promises and the various supporter forums earlier in the year.
What are you waiting for Lyall?
