  • Monday 2nd - Public Training Session & Two Signings Revealed

    mack

Western Sydney Wanderers have declared their first training session to be held tomorrow at the Blacktown International Sportspark will be open to the public.

A press released on the Football Federation Australia website has declared the first training session to be public for all Western Sydney Wanderers supporters.

Western Sydney Wanderers has also declared that two new signings will be revealed at the training session.

Fans will have the opportunity to see the squad train between 10 and 11am and also see the team unveil their latest two signings to compliment those they already have including Aaron Mooy, Mark Bridge, Michael Beauchamp, Kwabene Appiah, Tarek Elrich and Shannon Cole.

I will hopefully be attending, schedule permitting. I encourage all who can make it to do so, as this is another historic moment for Western Sydney Wanderers and it's fans. I applaud the club for doing this, as well as one of our website members, @Taurus, who brought up the idea at the Western Sydney Wanderers club launch with CEO Lyall Gorman.

there's obviosuly no one good enough to make the step up. there must be a handful of guys above everyone else in the nswpl, but as has been proven quite a few times now, those guys dont always cut it at the top grade. popa needs 15-18 proven players and then there could be room for 4 or so nswpl players to hang around the fringes and prove their worth. you dont seriously think there could be 15 nswpl players able to play a-league straight away do you?

Not overly excited by Haliti but I generally rate him over Bridge.

I hope popa tapes his Jersey on though

We will have plenty of exclusive pictures, videos and announcements in regard to the names and or images of trialists, a likely starting lineup and playing structure later today. I'll have to wait until one of my IT experts (kids) arrives home from their various activities.

Fox were there and were preparing a package to go to air this afternoon. Media received the same advice that we did late yesterday.

At least 5 forum members were present at todays open training centre - Mack, Banana, BHF, mltzer and myself. Others may have been present amongst the 100 or so onlookers.

After midday we were able to liase with FFA official(s) who are keen to attend our shindig on the 14th.

We briefly touched on certain aspects such as home end support ticketing arrangements and seating allocations.

Just to wet the appetite, an additional fan day / training session is highly likely on a weekend prior to the end of school holidays.

More will be revealed in the appropriate threads as some of it is rated XXXX (for your eyes only) .

I'll pop back in later, got lawns to mow.
