  • Wanderers 2014/15 Membership Renewal Launches Friday 18th

    mack

The Western Sydney Wanderers will launch the 2014/15 Membership campaign on Friday the 18th of July.

Update: Membership Portal has launched via wanderland.com.au

The club announced the launch on Friday the 11th, including numerous changes and upgrades from last season. A link to the Wanderers news page is here. The new changes and upgrades include:

    • A loyalty initiative for renewing members that includes reduced membership costs as well as memorabilia for foundation members.
    • The introduction of a new payment option, where in addition to typical upfront payment, the new option for payment in monthly instalments over 10 months.
    • The introduction of a seat resale program to enable members who cannot attend matches to forgo their access to a match so their ticket can be on-sold, with rewards for those members who give up their seat.
    • A new online membership portal that includes the ability to forward a membership to selected people, a membership selector and online interaction with the membership team.
    • A new Junior Supporter membership package that includes various pieces of merchandise.
    • The final major development is that after a large volume of complaints about members not being able to pick-up their membership packs last season, this season they will be sent through the post.

Prices for this season are increased over the first two seasons. Foundation members have a slight rise in non-Red & Black sections, with family memberships costs also increasing. The cost increase for a Red & Black membership is higher in comparison to the other sections of the ground. New members in all sections are higher again compared to renewal costs for foundation memberships.

    • Red Memberships increase from $312 to $320 for foundation members and $335 for new members.
    • Black Memberships increase from $240 to $250 for foundation members and $285 for new members.
    • The White as well as the White & Black memberships increase from $195 to $200 for foundation members and $215 for new members.
    • Red & Black Memberships increase from $195 to $220 for foundation members and $235 for new members.
    • Supporter & Out of Towner memberships are unchanged.

A full size table of the pricing is available at this link.

Renewal will be open for 1 month from Friday the 18th of July through to the membership renewal deadline on Sunday the 17th of August. Supporter memberships will also be on sale from Friday and supporter members will be placed onto the ticketed membership waiting list while also getting access to the usual Football Family benefits.

Despite this forum being a welcome place to discuss memberships in 2014/15, specific enquiries should be directed to the club membership team through the club membership email address which is:

    • memberships@wswanderersfc.com.au

I look forward to renewing my membership on Friday and am sure that the club will eclipse the 16,900+ members from last season.

Just read the last page of the other memberships thread.

    Let me get this right.

If I'm RBB from last year I don't need to renew my membership first thing Friday morning as long as I do it in the member renew window?

I think the increase may be to ensure that RBB tickets aren't the cheapest and it would be the white section that has that honour.

Which prevents non - active people buying it just because it is the cheapest, to look at the positives of it.

I think the RBB section should be discounted because these are the people who stand in rain, hail and 40 degree heat and work hard creating that famous atmosphere for all of us to be inspired. But I think this area should be controlled by the an elected RBB representative group in collaboration with the club etc. This would give some capacity and power to have non-participating active members an opportunity to participate or relocate.

if you dont want to change your membership it does not matter when you renew within the time period, its first come first serve for people who want to change

    *rolls eyes*

Because people in other parts of the stadium don't do that???

    Puh-lease.

Ahh C`mon, I was in White section season one, in the rain and heat, but I didnt have to do aerobics for 90 minutes. I have been in active at away games enough times to know the difference

Can't wait to sign up for another year.

Is anyone else worried about the lack of direct communication from the club. We've all seen random Facebook posts etc but the lack of direct communication through a mail out or email is a bit concerning. Is this a sign of things to come with the new owners?

    It's nothing new.

In this age of technology, I do find it disappointing that our club doesn't utilise email, text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, or even these forums, as well as they could & should.

Some clubs are absolutely brilliant with that stuff. Other clubs are, well, not so brilliant with it.

I completely agree Stavup. In Bay 65 (the best bay of the stadium) it's uncovered. When it pours down with rain, I slide my poncho on (also covering the chair as well as placing my foundation cap underneath so the rain can't get to my face)

If it wasn't for my shoes, I would of left that insanely wet game where they had to delay the start of the match completely dry. It was easy!

Our WanderBros/Bras in the terrace do gods work. I felt terrible that RBB members with their mobile phones in their pockets would of been left with an inoperable piece of metal junk! Especially La Banda! I'm not entirely sure if you could smash the drums with a poncho on...

The membership price still isn't all that high. I think it still works out at under $10 a game for a $215 package.

I'm relieved to see that others have received nothing! Just today I checked with a mate and he said that he had received nothing, whereas I am now receiving a lot of emails from the Jets that suggest that I'm on their system as a member... I was a tad worried that something strange had happened with the Wanderers' move to a new ticketing system, but I'll hold off on contacting the club until others confirm that emails have in fact been sent by the club.

I believe you're on their mailing list if you bought tickets from the Newcastle away last season.

I thought so, but I only made that trip in season one, not season two, so the sudden influx of emails made me wonder if there was something else. Anyway, at least I'm not the only one!

I'm getting emails from jets and smurfs!

I received ESFC's membership magazine in the mail. Care package of Bondi Junction

Where's PARRAS? I want another explosive debate on where Sydney's east lies. Bring me the maps!

Is there any likelihood of a system being implemented where your ID is checked alongside your membership pass this season??

Last year it was anything east of redfern station, hoping this year we can at least get to Kings Cross station.

Bondi Junction will one day be ours

I agree that the RBB section deserves recognition but maybe not financially. If you asked any RBB member if they would pay $20 more per year than the cheapest tickets and ensure that non-chanters aren't there, most would pay the $20. This won't stop the problem but it would reduce it.

Recognition of active fans in the active areas can be provided by the club in other areas or other means.
