  • Wanderers To Face Guangzhou Evergrande in ACL Quarter Final

    The Western Sydney Wanderers will face Guangzhou Evergrande in the Asian Champions League quarter final.

     

    The draw, held tonight in Kuala Lumpur, saw the Wanderers drawn against Guangzhou Evergrande of China. The Wanderers opponents, who play in the Chinese Super League, qualified for the Quarter Finals by defeating Cerezo Osaka 5-2 on aggregate.

     

    The two matches will take place on the 20th & 27th of August 2014.

     

    Guangzhou Evergrande are the defending champions of the Asian Champions League. Western Sydney will host the first leg, then travel to China for the second leg.

     

    The matches are:

    Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) vs Al-Sadd (Qatar)

    Al-Ain (UAE) vs Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia)

    Pohang Steelers (South Korea) vs FC Seoul (South Korea)

    Western Sydney Wanderers (Australia) vs Guangzhou Evergrande (China)

    I'd rather win at home and then sneak a goal away. Don't want to go over there needing to win. because they'll be playing in front of 80k or something

    When you say that it makes me think of is beating them and that place being silent
