    So excited for this game!

A lot of respect will be forthcoming to Guangzhou Evergrandes supporters if they bring that many fans. Asian away members seem to make decent noise, they also know how to use a drum

^^^ A lot of the Away supporters will be locals...International Students etc.

Saw them (Away supporters) in action up at Bluetongue last year...they were non stop!!

This should make for a fantastic atmosphere!!

Thundersticks should be banned from Wanderland on this occasion.

    What's wrong with thundersticks?

    Everything.
If that is the Guangzhou/Chinese football culture of making noise, I see no harm it it.

It will just add to what could potentially be the best atmosphere at Wanderland in terms of 2 active support groups going at it.

Why not embrace the different cultural atmos.

I have no issues with away / travelling fans playing drums, signing, chanting etc, but, in regard to thundersticks, its a :nono:  from me.

The couple of hundred Ulsan fans made a racket on the night of our 1st ACL home game.

4,000 GE fans with thundersticks will be bloody annoying.

If we don't want the Chinese to use them we should ask for permission to use them in the RBB. Then they'll immediately be classed as musical instruments and banned.

I'm looking for one if not two RBB tickets to the ACL match. A mate missed out on purchasing while he was down working in Canberra. Inbox me if you could please. Cheers.

Buy a box of chinese beer for 42 bucks at liqorland in carlingford and get a free double pass. I doubt they'll be singing for Wanderers where you'll end up sitting.

So what do we think the team will be in the ACL game which is just next week :shok:

Santa, Juric and Saba will all have to start surely to try and get something creative going. Popa would be a brave man to throw Apiah in to this game on recent form?

Santa has a calf injury & has been on light duties for a couple of weeks.

Saba is still working up to fitness & is picking up a few niggling injuries along the way.

It appears to my eye that the firm surfaces we have at present are impacting on his preparation.

That being said, I expect him to play a role in the ACL game next week.

All those Ulsan fans were from Eastwood/Epping anyway. Probably couldn't name 1 player in the Ulsan squad.

Any precipitation would be most welcome.

Our training ground where we played the young socceroos last Friday, is very firm under foot.

I hope it literally BELTS down with rain leading up to the match, and that the final score is 0-0 (unless of course we can sneak one) so that when we score in China we'll be ahead :)

I'd rather win at home and then sneak a goal away. Don't want to go over there needing to win. because they'll be playing in front of 80k or something

Agreed, we need to score at home. With their attack, holding them to zero or one goals in the tie is unrealistic. On current form though, it's far more of a wish than an expectation. We must win at home. We can't go over there needing to score more than one goal.

No worries. I saw them play Bayern Munich in the World Club Championship last season and they were crap! Hardly got a touch... ;)

Melbourne Victory played them off the park in 3 of the 4 halves over the home & away legs.

Unfortunately for MV they conceded 4 goals in the 2nd half of the away leg after leading 2 nil at half time.

One thing that GE consistently do, is give their opponents opportunities to score goals.

we'll be right then cos we're so great at putting it into the back of the net...

And they have the Italian national team's 3rd or 4th string attack with Gilardino and Diamanti upfront...

GE can score goals, but as Taurus states, they can leak goals too. So lets hope Tomi and Santa have their shooting boots on
