We might win, we might lose by a big margin...anything is possible. What we have proven though is that we play with heart and we can knock bigger teams off in style, and Evergrande are not an exception. They might destroy us on a good day, but we will give them a run for their money regardless of who they sign.

so how do we get tickets for this

The club will send an email with the link on the night before the match.

And half of us won't get the email or the link won't work in their browser so panic and abuse shall ensue.

WSW should have released the final roster to AFC 2 days ago....

Keen to see who will be there!

From what I've read, we have one too many foreign players for ACL (if one of them was Asian, that would overcome the issue). I wonder which of the four - Poljak, La Rocca, Saba or Castelen misses the spot?

Guangzhou is all style and no substance. To be honest, their dominating a league where the players are nothing to marvel at in terms of physicality or technical ability aside from their foreigners. We can get a result from this game.

I would pick Poljak, I don't won't an injury prone Castelen flying 10 hours and then playing

Poljak can be our secret weapon :)

Probably Poljak - we have about 50 CBs we can throw in at CDM anyway.

Leave out Romeo with Kubi at right wing plus we have Santa Haliti for attacking options its the midfield that will be an issue with Saba and TTrifiro with Poljak or Larocca to push up to cover for one of them. Well be up against it anyway and will be an upset if we can beat em.

Former Netherlands international Romeo Castelen will play his first game with the Wanderers in Guangzhou after transferring from Dutch first-division team RKC Waalwijk on a two-year deal.

First game in Guangzhou? Why would he not play the first leg at Parra, or is it a typo? I would have thought he'd play the full tie or not at all.

Yeah there was probably zero research done by the journalist on which leg of the tie was first.

Interesting comments by Popa and NTS. The whole club oozes confidence and defiance. I love this "we have no chance but we'll succeed anyway" attitude.

Good news pitch wise, no Eels game until 22nd August

But they still train on the pitch don't they?

Probably, but much better than 3 grades of footy. And thankfully it hasn't been soggy lately!
