RISING YOUNG WANDERER JARROD CARLUCCIO APPOINTED WESTERN RAGE HEAD COACH
Rising young Wanderer Jarrod Carluccio appointed Western Rage Head Coach

Western Sydney Wanderers’ A-League young gun Jarrod Carluccio will be a busy footballer in 2022 after accepting the role as Head Coach of Football NSW League 3 outfit Western Rage.

The 20-year-old will balance his football duties along with his coaching, highlighting his passion for the world game.

Carluccio has been busy in the coaching front, managing the senior squad at Kemps Creek United playing in the top tier of the Southern District Soccer Football Association for the past three seasons.

Don’t let his age fool you, the Young Socceroo and Wanderers Scholarship holder collected two ‘Coach of the Year’ awards coaching the Tigers as well as taking out both the Premiership and Championship under his managerial leadership.

Captaining the Wanderers’ Under 20’s squad in the Football NSW League One competition in 2021, the Rage have seen this as an ideal opportunity to gift the talented footballer an opportunity to coach in the State League as well as raising the coaching standards at the club.

“A young coach with this level of coaching experience as well as footballing achievements deserves an opportunity to progress through to the NPL pyramid,” a Western Rage club spokesperson stated.

“Western Rage believes Jarrod can bring a fresh approach and energy to the club and we look forward to supporting Jarrod through his next phase in his playing and coaching career.”

Although the young defender still has a bright future as a footballer, his thirst for coaching and taking this role to the next level typifies the maturity and character Carluccio possess at such a young age.

“I want to continue to grow as a player and coach and ensure that my approach to coaching does not change because the levels have changed.

“I want my players to play with the freedom and love of the game.

“To have the respect of the players that are all older than me is truly humbling and something I treasure weekly as a coach.

“We want to be recognised as a group that loves football and doesn’t take the game for granted.”

Rest assured, Garside Park will certainly see a fresh new approach as the Rage hope with Carluccio at the helm, it’s fortunes will change for the better.

Literally the worst name and logo in the history of football.

They were called Granville Rage till recently.

I thought they were nearly booted out of Football NSW competitions.
