Highlight: Sent off in his 50th A-League game for the Wanderers, against Sydney FC, for a handball outside the penalty area.
Description: A controversial mid-season signing, Janjetovic was involved in a swap deal with the Wanderers arch rivals, Sydney FC. With Janjetovic joining the Wanderers, Andrew Redmayne went the other way. His start in the Red & Black was solid, and after playing in every game of the 2017/18 season he earned a 4 year contract extension. His 3rd season was a disaster, as he was responsible for dropping numerous results with red cards, punching the ball into his own net and running out of goals to play the ball and missing completely. He suffered a shoulder muscle tear injury in April 2019, missing the last two rounds of the 2018/19 season followed by the entire 2019/20 season.

"Janjetovic will be sidelined for the next six months after a recurring rotator cuff tear in his right shoulder."

Does that make Lopar an injury replacement, as far as the cap is concerned?

That's creative. Right now I'm not sure the cap even matters with this whole independence situation.

Could get us ~6 months of Vedran's large salary off the cap.

Guess it comes down to whatever requirements the FFA/A-League has to consider a player as an injury replacement.

6 months of wages covered by insurance.

Not that matters much, that’s just about covering the clubs costs at the end of the day.

Does nothing for our salary cap unless we sign a keeper or perhaps we could find a ST or CF that’s played goal keeper before & sign him a “injury replacement” :ninja:

Well he doesn't really have choice. Babbel already told him he is free to leave, I don't see any other club offering him a lifeline
