If GA has "big brass balls" for putting Redmayne in goal for the shootout, Redders must also have them, being prepared to look like an absolute clown doing what he does, with the eyes of the football world( and plenty of others) on him like that.

He was so close to ruining everything, the Peru kick that hit the post he was so close to having his back foot over the line and to get extremely technical, on the final pen right as the Peru player started his run up he might have only kept the foot on the line barely, and you're not allowed to go over the line before the kick is taken even if you go back behind it.

In other words he maximised the options both times. 

I'm no fan of Redmayne, but he did good. No criticism is warranted. 

I was also impressed by his post match interview.

Not being a referee I don't know the exact rule but does that rule only apply once the ref blows his whistle for the kick....?....because Redmayne certainly went over the line on at least one occasion.....definitely on the first pen ( but before the whistle ) .

Peru player was in his run up so I'm sure it was after a whistle.

Look, good on him. He's always seemed a decent bloke - simply not the best keeper for us. The John Crawley part explains a fair bit. He plays to his strengths and has had a decent defence in front of him for the most part. Good luck to him.

One has to consider that both were good keepers before they arrived, how many times have good to very good players come to us and get turned into abject mediocrity?....I don't have enough fingers and toes for that one.

We had Zeljko Kalac as our GK coach, he didn't like Redmayne and wanted Vedran.

Redmayne was ok for us in season 1, but season 2 his blunders cost us

******* Kalac.

But even aside from that, yet another example of clearing the decks to get someone that the boss just happens to like, and it backfiring. Same old **** every time.

Redmayne was the worst keeper in the A League before joining us and only got better* at the Wanderers. 

* that is, better at being the worst.
