Champion. Got a massive reception as he came off.

Deserved it, especially the way he went out of his way to say g'day to the fans at games' end. Ditto Tyson at half time.

I suspect our ex-Glory boys won't be in a rush to say hello to their once-fans when they go to nib...

So gracious as he came off, he really appreciated the applause & went to take a picture of young one who had a "we miss you covic" cardboard sign. Also got a massive reception as he came to the goals in front of the RBB in the second half, as Mandred said, 100% deserved!

If Perth win tonight Ante has won every trophy available to A-League players right?

He will still miss out on having won the World Club Championship

Ah good point

That's alright. It's an elaborate ploy by him to take the starters spot off janjetovic and then in the derby start scoring own goals for us. As he gets substituted he'll pull of his GK jersey to reveal a wanderers jersey complete with star. He will point at star as he walks off.

Doesn't say much for SFC if they are even thinking of signing Covic. Would destroy Vedran's confidence even moreso lol

There's no way you'd start Ante in front of Vedran would you? Surely if the rumour is true he'd only be going there to slide into a goalkeeping coach position.

Would you tell Ante he wasn't starting?

Arnie now is going over the top with employing experienced players into his squad. After he found out blooding young kids doesn't work, he now wants to buy 40 year old goal keepers. I personally think it would be a mistake promoting Covic over Janjetovic. If Janjetovic is demoted I would not mind if we got him as a starting keeper.

Nope. F*ck Vedran the $hitc*nt. Don't want him anywhere near our team after the way he acts during derbies towards us.

I would gladly sign him so Popa can sit him on the bench and ruin him though.

Meh. I don't get all worked up about what players do. They are professionals and get caught up in the moment when it comes to certain games / derbies. I just want to make sure we are a strong club.

Enlighten me about the love affair with Vedran. What has he actually done to be showered with niceties during and after the games?
