The #Hamillin legion is growing.

the thing is we're so fickle and forget that he is still quite young. he'll make a mistake and we'll all be calling for his head. Again.

in all honesty though i don't think he will play again for us this season. Alberto and Aspro are back next week and topor never gets dropped/rested. Neville is seemingly set in place at RB and with Cole now fit enough to be on the bench probably put Hamill into 3rd choice RB. It'd take another set of weird circumstances (injury/suspension) for him to get a run again. As sad as that is. Perhaps if we qualify for ACL we'll get to see him regularly again.

Everyone is quick to bash hamill over the roar loss....but hey dimas turned the ball over and didnt run back to defend. The 2nd goal we conceded yeah hamill lost the mark on mclaren but again mistakes in the midfield. Everyone always quick to blame him. Mullen was absolute rubbish but hamill class above him. He did well in the ACL. Hamill should be playing at RB though

You're right, He isn't a left sided player - but round 1 & 2 he played right cb and was average (at best). to be a good cb you need to either be a mongrel / strong (ala topor of old), or calm and a ball player (ala spira). He hasn't shown to be either

I actually think long term he's a right back - just needs to get his body to be able to cope with the extra running required to get up and down

Was watching the highligts of the 4-3 derby loss, I forgot just how **** Hamill was in that game, basically at fault for 3 of our goals.

He'd actually been pretty decent until that game. It was like he completely forgot how to football.

Played RB in the intraclub trial yesterday.

Maybe a handy squaddie as Neville picked up a minor injury late in the game

Fullbacks don't grow on trees

Hamill shockers off top of my head

Derby this season

The Bullut Derby last year

Roar round 1 last year

Victory away the year before

FFA cup v City

I also have a vague memory that was a weak link in the Saba sending off derby but I may be completely wrong

In regard to his saves in the ACL, he makes boss last ditch tackles although some of them are due to his original poor positioning or decision making.

I'm fully expecting somebody to point out to me that he didn't play in one of those games

iirc he came on as a sub in that game and actually tore it up down the right flank. Not sure though.

He's the man who won us the ACL with a few vital saves. Pity that he's remembered for the shockers in the derby at in Rd 1 last year.

That is a very fair point.

Can someone confirm if hamill is here for another year it says on transfermarkt he's here till some here in 2019 I think he deserves a three year contract he's loyalty he's shown to our club and last season he was one of our best in a poor season he has really stepped up I want to keep him cement his spot he deserves it

He’s fine as cover try’s hard. But I’d be disappointed if he’s our first choice next year.

He does ace last ditch tackles, but half the time it’s because he’s out of position in the first place. His passing Is terrible, his positional play is worse, he gives way too many stupid free kicks away and is an accident waiting to happen.

that said if we did the Hammil Time song I’d think differently

Meh I think he is a good player if he has the right coach I think with babbel he will get better just needs some one who can partner in CB who can guide him and stuff anyway I have faith in him that he can become our big impact player in defence and even attack ( corners, dead ball situations)

Mate I always thought you were a bit crazy but this is totally insane!

Hopefully you are right though
