He is my new favourite player. Anyone got a front end photo of him doing the westside sign?

This!! Although heaps of 'Ali G' pics with the 'west side' gesture.

2 stick?

hes played there a few times

From memory when we lost to the Jets at home early in the season I think he started at CB when one of Topor or MB was out.

Maybe a few times, but i think he is more of a defensive/holding midfielder than a centre back

Great vision and distribution from La Rocca against the Mariners. Good pass through to Shinji for Hersi's goal, a brilliant through ball to Juric at the end of the 1st half and a Pirlo style chip over the defence to setup Haliti's chance at goal.

Extremely underrated player!

Thought it was his best game for the Wanderers perhaps ever. He and Poljak made the centre midfield a bastion in defence and a launching pad for flank attacks.

When spiranovic was signed was thinking la rocca would be favourite to miss out of the acl as he was no longer needed as a backup up cb but he must be giving popa something to ponder with his great form .

If he had to pick tomorrow it'd be Poljak missing out. Not only has La Rocca been dominating in midfield, he's been stepping forward while Poljak drops deeper to anchor, and La Rocca is helpful cover at CB in the event of injury

For me, La Rocca and Poljak have been possibly our two best players this season. As much as I love what Mooy brings, I can't help but think those two are our best midfield partnership. La Rocca starting to really anchor the midfield is allowing Poljak to break forward more (Mooy's goal against Heart at home the perfect example). Previously I had thought La Rocca should miss out on ACL, but the work he is putting in is making that hard to say now.

But then I really don't know who else we'd drop. Polenz and Hersi are two of our most important players, and surely we'd take both of them. But it's Popa, so why would he do the normal thing

I ALWAYS said that La Rocca will make the squad. Popa gave him a 3 year deal didn't he? He plays 3 positions at least and is boss in the midfield.

I still wouldn't be surprised if Hersi is dropped for ACL. (at this stage, he prob won't even be around for ACL)

Both La Rocca and Hersi picked up injuries in the derby which didnt seem too serious at the time, but ended up being lengthy recoveries.

Interesting...

I feel sorry for Iacopo. He had to delete a photo off instagram with his parents because of highest Guangzhou ****s saying they were going to **** his mum. Oh the hate that I have. He is taking it much more personally than Vitor. Vitor doesn't give a ****

This is awful.

People are the worst.

Been very poor for some time now. Distribution has been abysmal.

I'm afraid I have to agree, might need a rest. Spira / Mateo midfield is required soonish.

I love how this team feeds off adversity. It's beautiful.

Other people would crumble under the pressure, but we take the nay-sayers and reply to ourselves, "Yeah? Just watch me."
