Description: Sotirio is a pacey winger who has become a persistent option off the bench for the Wanderers while continuing to pick up the occasional goal and providing a threat in behind A-League defences. He lasted 6 seasons, scoring the occasional goal, but did not evolve his performances to become a consistent goal threat or good with the ball at his feet while running at defences. In an odd stroke, what became his final game at the Wanderers saw him score against the Central Coast Mariners. After that game he was effectively banished from the playing squad entirely before being released at the end of the season.

He got dropped for the Adelaide game and hasn't made it back into the squad. I believe he's still training as normal though.

Was it related to celebration? You’d think after his best run of form in years, an odd decision to drop him if it was for form reasons. Perhaps his training levels have dropped off if the rumours of him looking overseas are true.

Wasn't he injured after his last game and so was unavailable for a week or two!? And now, after more good results, he has to make his way back into the match squad.

I looked into it before making my post, and found a single AAP article that was replicated across numerous platforms that stated he was injured, but it was edited not long after it was posted, and changed to being overlooked.

I like to think its because he 5hittalked his own fans with his mouthing off gesture and then attacking fans on Instagram after that goal.

**** him

The mouthing off gesture is perfectly fine after years of crap being thrown his way by “fans”.

Attacking fans after that goal on Insta; here?

It wasn't that post. It was on a WSW insta post of his goal where someone commented sarcastically "well done, 3 goals in 100 appearances" and he replied "3 more than you!"

Never seen again lol.

Fair comment though. Give as good as you get I say.  Surely Wanderers supporters aren't a bunch of snowflakes are they?

I am the guys biggest supporter, I think he is the guy most similar to Dino yet gets the most criticism & abuse from our fans. Yet, after the season we have had, you can’t go gloating when we were having a season where we were fighting for the wooden spoon.

Sotirio's break out season was supposed to happen 4 years ago. It never happened. Then he got sent off after being a substitute in a playoff.

Even MB said "he runs alot but needs more"

Notice it was only 1 year deal. Will 19/20 be the Wellington Phoenix’s last year? Wi H Canberra taking their spot when Macathur join the comp?

Has scored 2 goals this evening for the Phoenix in a trial game. Phoenix won 7-0.

Must have been playing St Hellena's Nursing home under 60's team.

Guarantee he will be bragging about it on his instagram account...

Bit harsh, wouldn’t call that bragging!

Disagree. Posting on social media that you scored two goals is bragging.
