Highlight: Named in the Australian World Cup Squad for the 2018 tournament, playing three games. While at the World Cup he had the dubious honour of becoming the first player to concede a penalty at the World Cup due to the Video Assistant Referee system.
Highlight: Risdon played in the Australian Asian Cup squad in the 2019 tournament. He suffered an injury in the first game and did not play again.
Description: A fast fullback who spent 7 years playing in Western Australia. He won several international caps while at the Wanderers and played 3 games at the 2018 World Cup. His time at the club was a marked disappointment with Risdon never reaching the heights expected of a starting international fullback. Both his season were marked by long absences caused by international games. An injury suffered in the 2019 Asian Cup recurred in his first game back, against Newcastle and he did not play any further games for the Wanderers. He moved to the new A-League club Western United in Geelong.

Good luck to risdon

probably a smart move for whatever reason we didn’t get the best out of him

Maybe they will take some more off us with any luck

More game time for Tate is good plus he will definitely free up some room for us in the cap to bring in someone better

PEACE!

It shows the depth of our squad when we can bring in an experienced Socceroo’s defender when our first choice RB gets injured
