She is Croatian Australian, he has already met the parents an family, they have been on a couple of dates thus far.

To play for Australia he has to pass the FIFA laws, which is that the player has to be here for 5 years, which would make him eligible on August 13 2017.

I believe he could 'count' as an Australian for the purposes of the A-League whenever he becomes a permanent resident or citizen.

The ACL I think is three years, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

What an awesome signing. What a gun player. One of our best last year.

Really happy he's staying on for a while yet. A quiet achiever and the rock of our midfield. He's also well-spoken and always the first to lead the team to the crowd after games. Possibly future captaincy material.

Popa said in the post game interview he had a bit of a sore quad at training and didn't want to risk it. Nothing to worry about and he'll be back next week.

I think I remember reading an article in the news about how he met his girlfriend - apparently she added him on Facebook when she was Facebook stalking him or something...?

He played with one of her brothers/cousins or something in Croatia so they knew of each other, but then she found him on Facebook when he moved to Australia and they started talking again.

I'm gonna write a movie about it.
