He's headed to the UAE

Yep. Newly promoted club called Hatta.

Should be **** loads of cash for NTS out there.

SBS running with the Hatta story now.

As soon as he was told to start looking, his heart was never going to be in it.

How do we know what happened?

For all we know he started getting itchy feet when the China interest came, thinking of one last payday.

Or he could have sat down with Popa and had an open conversation about how he is struggling with the passing style?

We have no idea how this played out behind the scenes.

Well, good luck to him. For any of his failings, I think he has had more positives. He isn't fancy, but sometimes that was needed (sometimes it was frustrating lol).

No ill feelings from me if he left for some final moolah, Sydney isn't a cheap place to live

Thanks for some great service NTS. Will remember moatly for immense ACL leadership and for the fact that had it not been for the unfortunate knee injury in Roar GF we would have been coasting on the back of him and ILR performances.

Go get paid son!

There was no way he was ever going to develop a passing game. He just always had an awkward style which is not fit for that. Popa would have surely seen that. We used him for the purposes of what he offered us. A tall guy at the back who won a lot of ball, and gave us some good last ditch defence.

I think he has been agitating over a decision whether to play overseas or stay at Wanderers for the last year or two. I think the send off in the FFA Cup, and watching how woeful we were on Saturday night was the thing that tipped it over to the side of finally making the move overseas.

The club Facebook page have confirmed that he's been granted leave to persue an overseas opportunity.

He has just been leave to pursue an opportunity, no guarantee that it will happen.

Club legend alongside bridge and Cole

Enjoy the heat haha

And the oil money too, he deserves it!

Player No 16 gone. Only four players from last season's starting 11 left, plus Santa, Hamill, Baccus, Cole, Tyson and a number of youngsters.

Lots of work ahead for the coaching team.

Not happy about losing our skipper, but I'd much rather see him earn money in the Middle East than being the object of speculation here at the club, or end up with a different HAL club.

Exactly ...who knows what happened behind the scenes. We can only speculate maybe:

1. He wanted to go and chase a final payday.

2. He was told he is surplus and no longer needed.

3. He didn't want Balut signed and as a captain he lost that battle.

4. He missed out on the Chinese deal so he wants to snap this one.

Regardless of the reason/s he was our captain, he brought the ACL cup home and he will always be remembered as a WSW ACL champion.

Bye, don't let the door hit you on the way out

So cold!

Right time to go, but a legend of the club. Basically summed up our inception...a reject who, for 2-3 years at least, was inspired enough to play well above his level. It's amazing when you look at him now to think how much of a rock he used to be. Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain.
