He oozes quality, just hadn't had a chance to show it without an extended run and in a disjointed side.

I rate him over victorys benkhalfallah.

I really like Romeo but that's a massive call. IMO KBK is one of the top three players in the league.

FBK is quality, but I see them quite closely matched with Romeo shading him. in saying that, Romeo hasn't played enough for us to fully appreciate his skill yet.

How good would it be to have both on our wings?!

That's it. I hesitate to say what might have happened had we got a full season up to this point with him but you feel he would have made a difference.

He is something to build around for next season for sure, now if we can just get a few good centre backs to build around

Shortest player on the field scores a headed goal = genius.

He generated some awesome power and direction from it too. Beast.

why is it that everyone only now realises how good he is

I thought after his performance in like Round 2 or 3 when he was zipping past players with absolute ease, we'd be all up in arms shouting how good he is

For me FBK is a little stronger, and more of a threat scoring - they are both good players but FBK is one of the best in the league IMO.

As for both of them, hell yes please. Two threats like that would be fantastic.

To be fair, at the start he was unfit. You could see the skill in short spurts but needed to see more. Then he got injured.

Hopefully he will keep fit for the rest of the season.

I rate him so much more than Hersi....and I liked Hersi.

So excited by this. When he was at Feyenoord I held him in massive regard, him and a little left-pegger called Robben were coming through to be the next Dutch stars. Bloody injury cost the Oranje a superstar.

Ask FCB about my confidence re: this feller. I've been spruiking him since I heard he was coming. In fact, I was shaking and calling my brother a liar when he told me we'd signed some bloke called Kastallan or Casterlin or something. He was seriously a massive prospect for Holland back in the day and that class just doesn't disappear.

By the way, those that took the punt on getting Saba jerseys before seeing him pull on the red and black aren't as happy as I am with my pre-season purchases:

I know he's got a lot of technical skill in flashes, and a lot of speed, but does anyone else feel he's scared to get injured again? So often I see him half-jogging around and not racing for balls he has the speed to get on the end of. He has so much potential, but watching him closely it's seemed a little like he's scared to shoot and dithering too much deciding between passing/crossing/shooting and often picking the wrong option. He's been better against Newcastle away and Guangzhou, but I'm not sold that he's living up to his billing - rather like Saba in that respect? At least he's putting a shift in for the team, though he seems to be unable to last the 90?

Best player in our team

I like Romeo A LOT, you can see when he gets the ball he is too good for many in the opposition, he screams quality.

I suspect that if he didn't have the history of bad injuries he would have cut it at a good level in Europe.

I rate him very highly indeed, one to keep a tight hold of and nurture along for next season!!!!

His name on the back of my shirt may look quite nice I think  :good:

He is like a greyhound..he comes out of the gates fast..but he really isnt a 90min player..not at that intensity..He is one of our best by a long shot at the moment though

Might be good to sub in at half time - or even 60 minutes - to take advantage, and relieve some pressure off of our guys.

Like I said tonight's game thread,
you don't make 10 appearances for the Netherlands (and probably deserved a lot more except injury stopped that) and be an average player.

all he needs is some games under his belt and stay injury free and he can be one of our best players week in week out.
