It's just weird, thats all.

at least with Saba we can all see what the problem was.

Seyi's problem is positioning. His tackling is awesome. I'm guessing maybe he hasn't been able to meld into the way we want to play?

That & over all his decision making (which I would argue would be a key aspect to positioning) has too often being not 100% spot on diving into tackling when he shouldn't or not making the right move etc etc Edited by Prydzopolis

from what i was told popa lost patience with adeleke due to the fact that he is that under done fitness wise and that it will take longer than first anticipated to get him up to scratch from what popa expects of his players...

Are we really that surprised that he isn't up to scratch in the fitness stakes? Turns up around our ACL final, no preseason, no training with a team in preseason and we expect him to be up to scratch? It is a different story if the coaching staff is concerned with his attitude or not putting in the effort in training.

One year contract. Cut your losses with the Japanese guy incoming.

Only signing him to a one year contract was clever and hedging bets. If Popa thought he was truly the business, he'd have signed him for 2 years (just like Saba and Castelen) and sacrificed La Rocca if the visa reduction went ahead. As it is, one year to have a look at him and see if he really is worth renewing. It would seem not worth it.

I agree. No point using up a valuable squad spot with a passenger. Cut your small losses and keep moving.

I'm curious as to what this says about the quality of Serie B, if both our imports from that league are canned at the first opportunity. So much for Schwarzer's European battleground.

So if Seyi is on the way out, will Popa replace him like-for-like with Tanaka or strengthen the midfield with Takahagi?

This would explain why the club has supposedly blocked Golec's move to China.

blocking Golec's move would suggest that Takahagi is a higher priority

wouldn't mind him sticking around till the end of the year provided that we progress in the ACL to at least the round of 16. Tanaka can play there and golec can get his chinese paypacket

I met Seyi on the train on Saturday, he was on his way to meet his agent.

Came across as a really nice guy, and was full of praise for the fans. So I hope he gets a good move somewhere soon (because it doesn't look like he's gonna play here).

Looks like Newcastle are going to have a few vacancies

Well I don't know if I'd call that a 'good' move considering the absolute cluster**** that they are atm, but I still think he deserves a shot in the A-League. He's hardly played at all and there is obvious skill there.

It could be good as a short term contract seeing the transfer window is almost over. It will give him an opportunity to show his skill
