Makes sense to keep him off until he is really right. Popa got extra value out of Hersi on Saturday no doubt due to the good rest he gave him plus the gradual work up to full speed/health. Considering Tomi had supposedly a worse injury he needs to be carefully managed.

Should be good. Hopefully he'll run rampant on a Mariners side that will hopefully be still tired from their match this Thursday.

He is wearing the wrong colour runners!  :nono:

Can someone give him red and black ones?

That's teal, not sky blue - it's ok!!!

But yes, red and black ones would be better.

This is a trend I've spotted in the past few games: when we are pressing when the opposition are passing around the back, Juric drifts out wide to press the ball because Ono takes the 'centre' spot of the pressing trio we have. Why is this?

Tonight I saw it meant Juric get pushed wide and back, which isn't where he should be according to our formation.

Also I notice Juric doesn't bolt to the posts when out wide, or maybe that was just tonight...

There was a couple of times he was missing from the box when the cross was put in due to him being the one who played the initial ball out wide

He shouldn't be on the wing at all. He's not especially fast. He should be attacking either the gap between the two CB's, dragging one of them out of position, or on the shoulder of the fullback on the far post, forcing that fullback inside, or forcing a CB out wide to cover him.

I meant more centre circle area, puts ball out wide to winger but cant make it into the box in time so winger either has a targetless cross or has to halt the run

Considering last night was almost like a back to 2012/13 line-up, it's a little strange that Juric wasn't informed by Popa and the line up to run a similar line/pattern as per how the sainted Dino did. He never seemed to position himself in that holding striker's pozzie around the centre of the field and up towards the box plus he didn't have anywhere near the run pressuring their defenders as he had shown in past games and as DK did last season.

Oh well, everyone has an off moment once in awhile...I'm sure he's got far more goals in him than ordinary games.

Knowing popa, we will only find out when the team sheet comes out for the Newcastle match, the same way we found out that covic had a groin strain!

We'll know by Wednesday. Santa and Juric only played 45mins, so I expect they'd both be available for ACL if fit.

Don't forget though, we played the last 5-10mins of the game without juric on the field because it looked like he twisted something. Just hope it isn't too bad that he might miss too many games but the fact that he went off isn't promising!

At Heart when he hurt himself he limped around for that amount of time and was out for 6 weeks. This may just be a precautionary thing
