  2. We have one thing they don't. We ARE Western Sydney. Not manufactured, not plastic, not made up in a boardroom, not a transfered team.We ARE Western Sydney.!
  3. Does that mean that Yoshi has become a Vi$ionary. ?
  4. Put up a few names and ask folks here to vote.I was a huge fan of Shinji Ono,put in every game.
  5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_in_Tasmania "According to the Australian Bureau of Statistic, soccer is the highest participation sport amongst Tasmanian children aged 5–14 years......." There is your potential generational change and a new market if they do what the Wanderers did and engage with them and their parents from the start.
  6. to be fair,he was "monstered" by Newcastle on several occasions and should of been given free kicks but wasn't,the ref most probably would of let them get away with murder against him. He is always playing for a free kick and appears to be "monstered" because he can't play with his back to goal, his first touch is horrendous, he has no passing game, his vision and awareness when dribbling the ball is non existent, his dribbling skills are non existent, and the runs he makes off the ball and the channels he operates in are less effective than Andrew Redmayne setting up the wall in the right spot. Bulut is passionate and he loves the club. But that's not enough. He reminds me of Roberto Soldado at Spurs. He just isn't good enough. When you get shirt grabbed from behind and get dragged to the ground that should be a free kick,This happened to him on quite a few occasions and no free kicks were awarded. He is not to blame for us not scoring a million goals and beating everyone by 200-0.

  8. There were moments in the first half when we "owned" the Jets.Beautiful passing movements, great positional play, tough defending,we just needed to finish them off with the chances that we had but we didn't.I don't know what happened at half time but it was like a different team came out for the second half. We have shown in glimpses that we will be competitive with the best this year, the team just needs to do it for 90mins,not 45.

    Jokes

A man hears a knock at the front door and when he opens it all he can see is a snail,so he picks it up and throws it as far as he can.Three years later there is a knock at the door an when he opens it and looks down he sees a snail who looks up to him says "what was that all about".
  10. In the second half we had too much tikky-tak and not much a-tak.
  11. Atmosphere was great, but we blew the match in the second half.

  20. Why is it all the players fault , the coach has stated on quite a few occasions he is more than happy with the squad he recruited. Churchillian speeches won't help , maybe the Law of Averages will help in upcoming derbies. It's the players that are playing on the field...no one else.I know a lot of people absolutely revere Popa, and given the clubs historic rise it is mostly deserved, but in our last 4 major competitive games we have conceded 15 goals.4 against the Roar(a win),3 against Adelaide in the GF(a loss),4 against Melb City( a loss),4 against the smurfs ( a loss).Something isn't right with the defence, you could throw in the 5 conceded against Wellington, and that makes 20 goals against us in five games. The players are the ones on the field and have to be accountable for what is dished up. No the coach is ultimately accountable for team performance everybody knows that , that's why they are paid the big bucks and some come and go. The players didn't recruit themselves , they don't plan the mental motivational and physical preparation , tactics ,plan attacking or defensive set pieces or pre-match mind games ( we don't believe in that sort of thing ) . Last year we had much better players than ESFC but didn't win a derby. And yes agree ,every year we seems to start underdone drop critical points and have to play catchup - why ? Anyway , hopefully the season does start next Friday. The players must have some sort of intelligence to understand and implement the tactics, attacking or defensive, set piece plays, the requirements for physical and mental preparation and participation in the top league and the ability to understand what the f##k the coach is talking about. The PLAYERS are the ones that implement whatever tactics or motivation the coaches and management decide upon.)
