  1. Around the Bloc S04E10: Onward To Victory Some of us weren’t there to witness the Wanderers sixth win in a row but it was a sacrifice that many were willing to make. Nichols channeled Shinji for the winner and we look forward to our biggest match of the year against victory. All this and more on this episode of Around the Bloc. Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminitochorizoalpan twitter.com/Caminito_Truck sydneyfoodtrucks.com.au/trucks/caminito On iTunes or your podcast app or on our website here: http://www.a
  2. Around the Bloc S04E09: FFAst Decline The Wanderers are on a 5 game winning streak but unfortunately are not the talk of the town with more pressing issues like the rights of football fans taking precedence. While the fans may boycott, we will still podcast, and this is Around the Bloc. Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminitochorizoalpan twitter.com/Caminito_Truck sydneyfoodtrucks.com.au/trucks/caminito On iTunes or your podcast app or on our website here: http://www.aroundthebloc.com.au/s04e09-ffast-decline/ Aroun
  3. Around the Bloc S04E08 FFS: Football Federation Straya The win against Wellington was overshadowed by the verbal and written diarrhoea spouting from some of Straya’s finest oval ball supremacists, but contrary to expectation we do actually talk about football at some point too. This is Around the Bloc Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminitochorizoalpan twitter.com/Caminito_Truck sydneyfoodtrucks.com.au/trucks/caminito On iTunes or your podcast app or on our website here: http://www.aroundthebloc.com.au/s04e08
  4. Around the Bloc S04E06: Joga Uglito ATB’s resident Asian football expert, Alan Mtashar, guest hosts and the podcast gains a new member. The Wanderers won for the second game in a row, the away day was awesome and the RBB senate hearing is summed up in about ten minutes. Everything’s coming up Around the Bloc. 5. Around the Bloc 404: Tifo Not Found It’s not often you can claim a win when you lose a derby, but tifogate gave us the biggest case of schadenfreude since Al-Hilal were knocked out of the ACL. If twos company, threes a crowd and fours a party, then what’s six? It’s Around the Bloc. 6. Around the Bloc S04E03: Romeo, Thou Can't Even The Wanderers comfortably dominated a game for the first time in recent memory yet still only came away with a point, which leads into the Sydney Derby where we haven’t come away with any points in quite some time. Refreshingly, the focus this week is on how bad our attack is, rather than our defence, and the boys fill us in on their favourite traditions (which unsurprisingly revolve around football and food). This is Around the Bloc Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminito
  7. Around the Bloc S04E02: It's a Girl Twitter’s Tatiyana joins us this week to discuss fame, fortune, food, and other F words we use to describe the loss to Brisbane. The cons outweighed the pros, but the fact there were any positive moments is an improvement, and we pick out the things we need to do better next week in ‪#‎ATBFeedback‬ This is Around The Bloc. Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminitochorizoalpan twitter.com/Caminito_Truck sydneyfoodtrucks.com.au/trucks/caminito On iTunes or your
  8. Around the Bloc S04E01: Contract Renewed Unlike Ante Covic, Yusuke Tanaka, Antony Golec, Labinot Haliti, Mateo Poljak, Tomi Juric, Yojiro Takahagi, Nikita Rukavytsya, Matthew Spiranovic, Kerem Bulut, Yianni Perkatis, Iacapo Larocca, Nick Ward, Jason Trifiro, Sam Gallaway, Nick Kalmar and Adrian Madaschi…. We’re Baaaack!! 9. Around the Bloc S03E27: Out Of Our Misery That’s it for another season – there were tough times, injuries, bust-ups, people turning on each other, swearing at each other, people leaving due to poor conditions… and that’s just the podcast. The team finished on a bitter-sweet note however, winning against Guangzhou but losing out to yet another injury time winner which just happened to be at another game in another country. Now, more than ever, we look forward to the off season, until a month down the track when we all miss the A-League and want it to come back. But thatâ€
  10. Around the Bloc S03E26: Copping a Spray It’s the end of the season and the bad results weren’t the only thing that left fans in tears as the RBB conducted its annual protest at the eleventh hour, giving everyone something to talk about despite losing 2-1 to Perth. On a brighter note, the boys discuss the more positive points of an otherwise dull season, and Ivan discovers that North is just geography, not a state of mind. This is Around the Bloc. Note: This episode contains some coarse language. Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode!
  11. Around the Bloc S03E25: FFD-Who? Ivan returns to the podcast this week as the Wanderers return to the bottom of the ladder, and its Pistolita vs Kennedy vs Turner in a triple threat Hell in a Cell match when the conversation turns to our injury replacements and their pedigree. We all know by now that the Mariners beat us, but do we have a chance at not coming last? Probably not much of one, but we can still fight our way into the round of 16 in the ACL, though we’ll need to hold our collective breath while we risk smelling defeat. All this, emails, failure in the FFDU awards,
  12. Around the Bloc S03E24: A Bit Howsit Going Friday The weekend was long, but so were our match day experiences, watching another two draws – but at least ATB Feedback provides us with good food stories to tell this week, whether or not meat on Good Friday is your thing. In other news, we interviewed Victoria Guzman, a Wanderers W-League player and big fan of the club, we talk potential transfers, the upcoming six-pointer with the Mariners, all my religious intro puns get stolen, and a certain member of ATB and La Banda gets told to put a sock in it. All on this weeks episode of
  13. Around the Bloc S03E23: Bloc, Rocket, Beats It was another mixed week for Wanderers fans, firstly obtaining all 3 points against Brisbane in one of their highest wins ever, and then heading to the West Coast for an unfortunate loss. The travelling RBB did their best to show the Perth fans how it’s done, and despite the loss on the field, it was a clear cut contest who won off it. We do have the ACL to look forward to in the next week, as well as a match against Melbourne City who we’ve beaten recently – if history repeats, this could be our most successful fortnight of the season! Thi
  14. Around the Bloc S03E22: You're Coming Down With Us Another week, another winless run of games, another lot of injuries, and another journo getting his facts wrong. Not much has changed in Wanderland since our last show, although when we say we want to see the youth, Popa listens. This coming week though, we stray further from home than Ante Covic with trips to Brisbane and Perth, and with not much to play for, we can only hope to ruin their seasons instead. In other news, Turner talks transfers, we all talk DIY, and ATB starts posting pictures of food, trees and our freshly painted t
  15. Around the Bloc S03E21: Unhappy Meal Well, you win some, you lose… most – We beat one Melbourne team and then, despite actually playing reasonably well, lost against the other one. We saw glimpses of the kind of play that can win games in style, but it could be too little too late for this season. In positive news, the youth and fringe players got a run and they all did us proud. Our ATBFeedback responses echoed our calls for these guys to be used more and more, and we may just see that as we take on FC Seoul in South Korea this week, where we may have more of a chance at getting 3 point
  16. Around the Bloc S03E20: For Nato Each week, we talk about our chances against our opposition, and each week this year, bar one or two, we’ve been let down. ATBFeedback this week asks the question – should we use the rest of this season to roll the dice with our youth players, rather than tire our first team out even more? We’ve got 2 games in 3 days so is now as good a time as any to take the pressure off our increasingly fatigued seniors? We also talk about our recent losses against Brisbane and Guangzhou, but unlike our controversy-laden Champions League game, we go far more
  17. Around the Bloc S03E19: Admit None It was a bittersweet week for us Wanderers fans. First we scored three and won, then we scored another three and lost. Then we had chorizo, then we had the ACL ticketing fiasco – it’s been a hell of a roller coaster. On another note, with Bulut firing, the immediate future is looking slightly more positive, but what about the long term? We discuss this at length and so much more on this episode of Around the Bloc Thanks to Caminito Food Truck for sponsoring this week’s episode! facebook.com/caminitochorizoalpan twitter.com/Caminito
  18. Around the Bloc S03E18: A New Hope A massive show this week – Alan Mtashar guest hosts as we hope to see the Champions Strike Back and we see the Return of the Derby, We review the loss against Adelaide, where it was Hoth as hell, and Chewie the fat about what went right and what went wrong, as the Wanderers endor one of their darthest periods. Finally, we take a luke at your ATBFeedback, leia’m all out on the table and saber some of the best responses. May the force be with you – because it certainly isn’t with your football team. This is Around the Bloc. Thanks to Cami
  19. Around the Bloc S03E17: Premature Celebration Normally scoring should make you happy, but after we came… to Newcastle with high expectations, we left disappointed after a major anti-climax. It was a case of no glove, no love, as an equalising penalty was slotted past Covic and instead of a W, we ended up with a D. There’s heaps of feedback from the listeners this week, Nick explains how he manages to actually research for the podcast whilst still being a superstar drummer in La Banda, and we realise that even clubs in absolute turmoil can still do social media better than those w
  20. Around the Bloc S03E16: $pring Water Despite winning at the foot of the mountains, we’re still at the foot of the table, and although our expansive midfield kept us happy, the expensive water didn’t. We won our first game of the season and quite frankly – its about time. We head up to Newcastle this weekend, and hopefully head up the ladder as well. In ‪#‎ATBFeedback‬, we discuss the missing and weakest links in the squad, as well as in the communications from the club, where important information is still being leaked to fans over social media, rather than by more formal communi
  21. Around the Bloc S03E14: Spoken In Brazilian Once again we were our Own Worst Enemy as we lost to Melbourne Victory, but Mr. Brightside, Tony Popovic, says after some Little Talks and a trip to Coffs Harbour, we’ll come back and stop being Losers, hopefully move up to at least The Middle of the table and curb our trend of coming Undone (like a sweater, when you’re holding the thread as I walk away). We can’t take ourselves too seriously when we’re in this position though, and despite all our rage we are still just a pod on a stage where we need to have a laugh, and ‪#‎ATB
  22. Around the Bloc S03E15: At Least We're Not The Jets When the biggest and most positive talking point of the game is the players goal celebration after a fluke of a goal, you know you haven’t played a very good game of football, and that’s exactly what happened on the weekend. It wasn’t fun to watch, but we tried to at least have a bit of fun talking about it. The transfer window affects both the team and the podcast, with Speccy on loan to the Yacht Club and Nick and Ivan keeping quiet on their futures, Turner becomes the returner and makes a cameo, soon-to-be-guest-starring role, and
  23. Around the Bloc S03E11: Finding Nemo-rocco The Wanderers this week played in the club world cup, where they came off the pitch squeaky clean due to the weather, but couldn’t keep their sheet in the same condition and missed out on their dream match with Real Madrid. The team now goes on to contest the fifth place playoff against Algerian team ES Setif, who we hope gets ES se-mashed. With mostly away games coming up, we’ve got details of how the RBB will be getting behind Nato – flag making and waving extraordinaire – who’s having a rough time, as well as all the usual stu
  24. Around the Bloc S03E10: No Money, Mo' Problems Well, the Wanderers lost two games in the last week, and to top it off, the players are having issues with the clubs owners about their bonuses for playing in the Club World Cup… That’s right, the Wanderers are playing in the Club World Cup! We start off against a Mexican team, once we Cruz through them, things will get Real… really Real. After we Bale them over, we've got one game to win before we’re champions of the world. Easier said than won eh? This is Around the Bloc. On iTunes or your podcast app or on our websit
  25. Around the Bloc S03E09: K-Gate The second derby of the season has come and gone, and the Cove and the RBB were both fans of the team that didn’t win. Tomi Gun’s goal was cancelled out by a screamer from Ibini, and the Wanderers winless and undefeated streaks continue. The club did, however, perform well at the AFC Awards night, winning Club and Coach of the Year. We lost in the spelling bee, but we hope to continue this winning form on the pitch against Brisbane and Adelaide this week. This episode is brought to you by the Number 1 (in Asia), the number 10 (in the A-League),
