Around The Bloc: S05E25: Youth Tube™ Whatever happened in round 27, we were going to get an away final so Popa decided to mix youth, experience, and Ryan Griffiths for his team lineup. In the end, it was a hard fought second half which produced a 2-2 draw, putting us up against the Roar – meaning we’ll have played them in every finals series we’ve participated in. Around The Bloc: S05E20: Perthetic The hangover from the derby included a 4-0 and a 2-0 loss to Urawa and Perth respectively. Needless to say, the joy after our first win in Homebush was short lived, and we get to thinking about what we, as fans and consumers of this product, expect from the club we support. With a tough game against Shanghai and then returning to play bottom placed Adelaide, it could be a long couple of months leading to the end of the season – unless things change for the better. Around The Bloc: S05E15: Lach'd & Loaded WSW Youth prodigy Lachlan Scott has scored his first A-League goal (his 3rd in competitive top tier fixtures at Campbelltown) and, along with a spine of other WSW youth, helped us along to our first win in what feels like a lifetime. And while Nova lost his lid, and the lack of EFTPOS facilities at Campbelltown was the difference between Kennedy having a delicious chicken roll and going hungry, the ground remains a fortress for WSW who have now won 3 out of 3 competitive fixtures there. A visit to Brisbane looms, and while Lang Park is a similarly tough place to beat the home team, the travelling RBB will be out in full force on their tour of duty.
