    Team Lineup:

    arnold

    allen-cooper-kennedy-levin

    o'neill-van egmond-gordon

    kingsley-cannuli-petinos

    subs: garriock(for o'neill), carney(for petinos), seaman(for cannuli), rowntree

finally we got some players back from injury, 3 internationals in allen, kennedy and arnold no less, to solidify the defence, and even a fully fit bench for the first time in 2 games, and it's amazing but not surprising what a difference a solid defence that makes to the team.

i thought dimi poulos was good for us as mackenzie arnold's gk injury replacement for the previous games but it's obvious arnold is a step above.

and when servet finally gets an international clearance, and garriock gets some more minutes, and hopefully huster back in a few weeks before the end of the season, then the team may be close to what it promised to be at the start of the season.

last game we were missing 4 international players (5 including kyah simon) so not surprising we were struggling.

anyway this was a much better performance and a good game. the new international player Camille Levin from USA is a good player, adds quality to the defence. cooper played well again. o'neill and cannuli also played well i thought.

van egmond is quality, the first goal came from a killer through ball from van egmond to kingsley whose shot was saved by the keeper before petinos scored off the rebound from a very tight angle with an excellent finish.

garriock scored the second goal which was an ono like chip over the goalkeeper from inside the 18 yard area.

kingsley scored the final goal, a nice volley at the back post.

van egmond was our best player this game and for the season so far.

hopefully the team can continue improving this sunday against newcastle with the game live on ABC tv on sunday 3pm.
